- Strategy
- This is a full color fruit eating snake game inspired by the classic snake video game. Like the old game, the snake automatically slides across the screen. All you need to do is control the direction.
- But unlike its precursor, this version is a lot more challenging, specifically due to the time limit and how the snake is controlled.
- The goal is to collect as many fruits possible to extend the time. As long as you eat enough fruits, the game continues. Your snake also grows longer the more fruits you eat.
- If you don’t get the fruit right away and run out of time, it’s game over.
- Make sure to locate the fruit first. Sometimes the fruit will be covered by the trees on the edge.
- The game does not have walls. Instead, the snake disappears into the edge and reappears at the opposite end.
- For example, if I let the snake slide continuously to the right ride of the screen, it will continue to do so until it reappears from the left side of the screen. The same thing happens if the snake goes up or down.
- Take advantage of this feature to collect fruits from opposite ends of the screen. This saves you more time compared to crossing the entire screen.
- The snake can only be navigated to turn left or right. This is the trickiest part of the game.
- A good tip is to tap or click the left or arrow key slowly to avoid losing control or moving toward unintended directions.
- Press too much and the snake moves in circles. Be careful turning too much to avoid hitting your tail.
- The game gets more challenging the longer your snake gets.
- You are only allowed to bump into your tail three times.
- On the top of the game screen, there are three hearts that indicate how many times you have left to bump your tail. Once you run out of hearts, your snake will die.
- Controlling the snake takes practice. But once you’re mastered it, you can play the game a lot longer and score much higher points.
- Challenge yourself by beating your best score. You can replay the game and enjoy it countless times.
