• Starting the Game
  • On the welcome screen, select the play button to begin.

• Game Play
  • Basic rules
    • Clear rows of 3 or more identical jewels.
      • Form a row by left clicking and dragging a jewel to its desired location.
      • If it forms a valid row, the jewels will disappear (or, in the case of power ups, merge).
      • If it doesn’t form a valid row, it snaps back to where it was before.
    • Each time you remove jewels, more take their place.
      • These appear from above.
      • Later levels are not rectangular and do not fall straight down. Take this into account when planning your moves.
    • Remove the specified number of target jewels.
      • The target jewels are shown on the top row.
      • As you clear the target jewels, the numbers next to them go down.
      • Clear all the jewels to win the level.
    • The game helps you out by giving a noticeable shine to the gems you need to remove.
    • Clear all the gems in the target menu with the number of moves you have.
      • If you clear all the jewels, your remaining moves are used to clear as many of the gems as possible.
      • The fewer moves you use, the higher your end-game bonus will be.
      • You will fail the level if you run out of moves before you finish the game.
    • The game will automatically shuffle the jewels without penalty if you run out of valid moves.
  • Star ratings
    • Your star rating is dependent on the amount of points you’ve gained throughout the level.
    • The meter on the bottom row shows you how many stars you’ve earned from your score.
    • Your web browser saves your high score for each level. You can view a level’s high score on the win screen.
  • Power ups
    • Power ups are generated when you clear more than 3 jewels in a row at once.
    • Each power up has a different effect.
      • Horizontal and vertical line power ups
        • These form after you merge 4 jewels. The row you form merges into this jewel.
        • These jewels clear an entire line of blocks regardless of color.
        • To use them, you must include them in a row.
        • Their orientation is determined at random. At times, they’ll even form a cross shape that will take out all the jewels horizontally or vertically.
        • These appear in-game from Level 3 onward.
      • Rainbow power ups
        • These form after merging 5 jewels in a row.
        • To use a rainbow power up, move it to any space horizontally or vertically.
        • Pair up a rainbow power up with another rainbow power up and all the jewels onscreen will be removed.
        • These appear in-game from Level 4 onward.
      • Bombs
        • Bombs form from clearing 5 jewels, usually when it’s cleared in an L-shape.
        • Select a bomb to detonate it. A bomb will take out up to 8 surrounding jewels.
        • They appear from Level 6 onward.
  • Levels
    • Levels are unlocked sequentially.
      • You start with only the first level unlocked.
      • Finish one level to unlock the next.
    • There are 30 levels in this game.
      • You can replay any of the levels you’ve already unlocked to improve your high score.
