101010 Addition Game for Kids Video Game Play Instructions

• Starting the Game
  • Left click or tap to load the welcome screen.
  • On the welcome screen, select the play button on the bottom center to begin.
  • On the top right corner are the following buttons:
    • Speaker button: Lets you turn the game’s audio effects on or off.
    • Music button: Does the same for the game’s music.
  • Your web browser automatically saves your high score. Your previous high score can be seen just below the play button.

    • With your mouse, left click on any of the 3 cells to move the number there.
  • Touchscreen devices
    • Tap on the cell to move the number there.
  • Controls and indicators
    • On the top left are the following:
      • Home button: Brings you back to the welcome screen.
      • Pause button: Pauses the game
    • On the top right are the following:
      • Speaker button
      • Music button
    • Your score and the timer appears just above the 3 answer spaces.
    • On the bottom row is both the current number and, right below it, the next one.
    • Use the button on the bottom right corner to toggle between a positive and negative number.
• Game Play
  • Basic rules
    • Choose a cell to move the number to the answer space.
      • Each number moved to a cell increases its value by that amount.
      • At the start of the game, the answer spaces already have numbers.
      • Your goal is to add and subtract numbers until a space contains a value of 10.
    • Score points by making a 10 on any number space.
    • You have 2 minutes and 30 seconds to form as many 10s as you can.
  • Tips
    • Pay attention to the incoming numbers so you can know where to put them. The next up number can help you determine where is best to play the current number.
    • Negative numbers are exceptionally useful for shrinking larger numbers, and vice versa.
    • Change the value of each number if it works better as a positive or negative.
    • If a few spots are close to 10 and one stack is far away from 10 (deeply negative or large positive value) you can view that third stack as a dumping point for numbers which do not help you make 10 on the other stacks.
