How to Play

- Starting the Game
- On the welcome screen, select either of the two game modes show at the bottom row to begin:

- 2 player
- Select the speaker button on the top right corner to toggle the game’s audio.
- Select the flag icon next to the speaker button to choose a game language:

- Select the enlarge button on the top left corner to switch between windowed and full-screen modes.
- Your web browser automatically saves your game progress and high scores.

- There are 2 ball colors in 8-ball billiards.
- Solids have a single color throughout.
- Stripes have a stripe of color over white.
- The player who pockets the first ball takes on the color of the ball they pocket. The other player takes on the opposite color automatically.
- You can only pocket balls of your own color after that point.
- Use the guidelines to estimate where the ball you target might go.
- Rules
- Be the first to pocket all the balls of your color to get a chance at sinking the 8-ball.
- Shoot the balls into the pockets using the cue ball.
- How well the cue ball can sink the other balls depends on the force of your shot and the location where you hit the cue ball.
- Adjust your striking position using the cue ball icon on the bottom left corner.
- Pocket the 8-ball to win.
- Breaking
- The game begins with a tutorial explaining the game’s controls. You can skip this using the button on the top right corner.
- In games against the computer, you automatically make the first move. If you don’t pocket a ball at the start of the game, the computer gets a turn.
- In versus human games, Player 1 goes first. Decide between you and your playmate who gets this designation.
- The two players alternate until someone pockets a ball. The design of the ball they pocket determines if they are stripes or solids.
- The other player takes on the opposite ball type.
- Faults
- There are 3 faults in this version of 8-ball pool.
- Pocketing the cue
- Pocketing the 8-ball prematurely
- Pocketing a ball not of your color
- Each time a player commit a fault, their turn ends.
- The opponent gets to move the ball to any location on the field.
- You also lose 20 points each time you commit a fault.
- Scoring
- Your score depends on the number of balls you pocketed.
- Each pocketed ball is worth 20 points.
- Tips
- Temper the strength of your shots so that the cue ball nudges the target balls in the right direction. This is a game of finesse, not power.
- Use the guidelines to help you aim your shots. Try to get the target balls moving as close to the nearest hole as possible.
