- Deal
- 49 cards are dealt face up on the tableau across 7 columns containing 5, 7, 8, 9, 8, 7, and 5 cards.
- 3 cards are dealt to the reserves, which you can play along with cards on the tableau at any time.
- Basic rules
- Remove the cards in the following ways:
- Match pairs of identical cards.
- Match cards that are one value apart from one another (e.g. king and queen, two and ace).
- Aces can be matched with kings and twos.
- To remove the cards, drag and drop them to an appropriate matching card.
- Get new cards by selecting the closed stack on the bottom center of the screen.
- Finish the game in 20 minutes or less.
- The game ends when you clear all the cards, run out of time, or run out valid pairs.
- Strategy
- Try to work down the columns in the center more aggressively early since they have more cards on them.
- As you get around a half-dozen pairs remaining you can try to map out where you should make your remaining moves so you do not get stuck with some stub cards you can’t match.
- You can track previous matches at the bottom of the screen to help visualize what pairs have been made versus what remain.
- Scoring
- Each pair of cards you remove is worth 20 points, for a maximum card-based score of 520 points.
- Your remaining time is also worth points, with each second being worth 50 points.
- If you beat the game most of your points will likely come from the time component, as beating the game with only 11 seconds to spare would mean you scored 550 points from time.
- Fast players can beat this game in a minute or two – far less than the 20-minute timer.
- Whether you win or lose, you can submit your final score on the leaderboard.
