- 24 cards are dealt to the draw pile, or reserves.
- Playing
- Tableau
- Pair cards which sum to 13.
- Q-A, J-2. 10-3, 9-4, 8-5, 7-6.
- Kings are removed individually.
- You can pair together any combination of cards that are not covered by another card:
- 2 cards on the pyramid
- 2 cards in the reserves (e.g. one from the draw pile & one from the waste pile)
- a card in the free cell with a card from any other location
- a card from the pyramid with a card from the reserve (either draw or waste pile)
- Reserves
- 24 cards are dealt to the reserves.
- Reserve cards in either the draw or waste pile can be matched with cards on the tableau.
- You can repeatedly shuffle through the reserves. When all cards are on the waste pile double click to move them over to the draw pile.
- Free cell
- This game has a free cell which can be used to temporarily store a card.
- Whenever the card in the free cell is paired off with another card you can once again use the free cell.
- Levels
- This game has 7 levels which are unlocked sequentially.
- You can’t go back to replay previously beat levels without starting the game over at the first level.
- Levels depict the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World: Colossus of Rhodes, Hanging Gardens of Babylon, Lighthouse of Alexandria, Mausoleum at Halicarnassus, Temple of Artemis at Ephesus, Statue of Zeus at Olympia, & Great Pyramid of Giza.
- Level timers
- You are given 6 minutes to beat the first level.
- Each subsequent level gives you 30 seconds less to beat it, meaning you must beat the final level in under 3 minutes.
- You beat a level by clearing all cards from the pyramid on the tableau before the timer reaches zero.
- You are not required to use all cards from the reserves.
- If the level timer reaches zero or you can’t make any more plays but cards remain on the pyramid it is game over.
- Select Try Again to replay the level, as this game offers unlimited continues.
- If you want to end your game you can select End Game and submit your score to the high score list, but doing this also erases your gameplay data, so you’d start again at the first level the next time you play the game.
- Game tips & strategy
- Play Kings as soon as you can as it does not adversely impact your ability to make other plays since they are removed individually rather than as part of a set.
- When you see a card that is on top of its match try to lay the top card in the free cell and then immediately pair them off.
- The tableau cards are all dealt face up, so try to look to see which moves you can make (particularly while using the free cell) in order to make a lot of progress early in the game.
- Work on all parts of the pyramid at the same time so you have many potential matches until few cards remain. Avoid working down most of one side while still having another leg fully extended.
- While you do not need to use all cards from the reserves to beat levels, you generally should pair off all of them to maximize your score, as the card pairing value is worth far more than the time value in this game.
- You can repeatedly shuffle through the reserves & take advantage of the free cell to store matches as you work down the remaining cards in the reserves.
- Scoring
- Your game score is cumulative across levels.
- Each 13 you make is worth 100 points, for a maximum card-based score of 2,800 points per level.
- Each second you have remaining when you beat a level is worth 2 points.
- Target Audience
- The game is suited for players who like Pyramid Solitaire card games.
- The game has no adult themed content.
