How to Play
Create your own kinetic art pieces.
Starting the Game
On the welcome screen, select the play button on the bottom center to begin.
The game starts with a brief introduction from George explaining the basics of kinetic art.
The game is narrated. The voiceover serves as the game’s tutorial.
Your web browser automatically saves your kinetic sculpture.
Game Controls
Desktop
With your mouse, left click to select and navigate.
Touchscreen devices
Tap on the screen with your fingers to select and navigate.
Game Play
Tutorial
The game starts with a narrated general tutorial that runs you by the basics of the game.
Each mode of the game has its own tutorial when you first open them.
Game modes
Each mode has a different theme:
Shapes: Uses solid geometric shapes
Lights: Uses LED lights twisted to form shapes
Characters: Uses the parts of characters from Arthur
Sounds: Uses presets
The sound game plays differently from the others.
Interface
Left side
The left side has the part categories.
Select a category to open the catalog of parts under it.
There are 4 parts per category, and 4 categories per game mode.
On the top left is the home button. Use this to go back to the category selection screen.
Center
The options for the top center only appear when you’re placing a piece onto the canvas. From left, these are:
Color: Changes the color preset of a part
Orientation: Rotates the starting position of the part
Preview: Shows you how the part moves
Speed: Lets you adjust the speed of the part
Rotation: Lets you change the direction the part rotates
These options are unique to the sound category. From left, these are:
Play: Plays the sound
Timing: Changes the moment where the sound plays
Preview: Plays the sound according to when it will play in the sequence
Volume: Increases the intensity of the sound
Play order: Lets you reverse the order that the sounds play
The very center of the screen is dominated by the canvas.
Right
Mirror: Lets you create a mirror image of your current sculpture and choose its placement in the screen. You can mirror left to right, top to bottom, or one quadrant onto the other quadrants.
Delete: Clears the canvas and lets you start over
Tutorial: Starts the tutorial all over again.
Play: Plays your finished sculpture in a separate window.
General
Attach parts to one another to create a moving kinetic sculpture.
The moving parts can be attached to one another or directly to the canvas.
Parts attached to one another will move in unison.
Sculpture pieces attach based on holes and screws.
Screws attach to holes.
Screws can be found in the center or at the edges.
Objects move according to where the screws are.
Edit the appearance, orientation, and motion of each of the parts.
You can choose up to 3 speed levels for each part.
Each part can move clockwise or counterclockwise.
To remove a part, select and drag it out of the canvas.
Create identical yet mirrored copies of each sculpture using the mirror button.
Sound
Place parts onto the canvas.
Unlike the other modes, this version of the sculpture doesn’t show movement. The parts remain stationary and can be placed anywhere on the canvas,
What does move is their timers, which form a complete cycle.
Adjust the time each part plays their sound.
Remove the sounds you don’t want by selecting and dragging them out of the canvas.
Change the volume of each sound as you prefer.
Playing your sculpture
When you’re done assembling your sculpture, select the play button.
For the non-sound sculptures, you can change the background music by selecting the music note button on the right side of the screen.
Select the pause button to go back to editing your sculpture.

The game is suited for Arthur fans of all ages.
The game has no adult themed content.
Real-World Kinetic Sculptures
Physical kinetic sculptures require motors to work. When they start moving, they can be some of the most amazing things to watch.
