Waldo Loves Muffy Game for Kids Video Game Play Instructions

• Starting the Game
  • Click the play button in the lower right corner of the game’s welcome screen.
    • This will bring up a tutorial.
    • Click on next to start the game.
    • This will show you the piece descriptions, which are also published below for your convenience. Click on the “to game” button to start the first level.
  • While you you have the game open your web browser saves your beat levels & heart rating on each.
    • If you close the game then your play data is erased.
• Game Controls
  • Desktop
    • Use your mouse left click button to select logic tiles and drag them into the puzzle.
    • Click on the go button when they are all in place.
  • Touchscreen devices
    • Tap the logic buttons and drag them into the puzzle with your finger, then click on the go button.
  • The game has menu and help buttons in the upper left corner.
    • You can play any of the 25 levels from the menu screen, though levels tend to get harder the further you progress in the game.
  • The lower left corner has the go button, which also turns to a pause button while Waldo is moving, which you can then click again to stop his movement for adjusting tiles again.
• Game Play
  • Goal
    • The purple arrow near Waldo shows which direction he is headed off the start of the level.
    • Place the other logic buttons on the puzzle to help Waldo collect the 3 hearts, pass through the hat, and make his way to Muffy.
    • When the logic pieces are in place click on go.
  • Errors & Levels
    • You can click on the go button to pause then stop Waldo’s movement if you want to adjust a tile’s placement.
    • If you are stuck on a level you can click on the menu button in the upper left corner to play a different level.
    • You do not need to collect all 3 hearts to beat a level, though at the end of the level you can choose to play next, replay current level, or select a level from the menu.
    • If Waldo does not make his way to Muffy it will bring up a replay menu, which keeps all your pieces in place where they were and allows you to move whichever piece you need to before restarting Waldo’s movement.
  • Logic Buttons
    • This game has 6 different buttons.
      • These tiles can generally be placed anywhere on the playing field where Waldo can walk, except they can not be laid on a tile which already has a hat or heart on it.
      • Waldo can traverse the same square multiple times on his path.
    • Blue arrow – change Waldo’s movement direction to the direction of the arrow when he runs into the square.
      • These tiles are used in almost every level of the game.
    • Purple spring – Have Waldo move at a diagonal in the direction shown.
      • This tile is introduced in level 11.
    • Warp – the orangish square with white shapes on it has Waldo go in the first warp he runs across and come out the other.
      • This tile is introduced in level 21.
      • When Waldo comes out of a warp he will continue running in the same direction he was running when he went into the warp.
    • Invisible – the elephant cut out allows Muffy to go past the scary eyeball.
      • This tile is introduced in level 16.
      • On most levels you have to directly pass the eyeball to collect all 3 hearts.
      • You only need to touch this tile if you walk on the tile with the eyeball.
      • On level 18 you can beat the level while not crossing past the eyeball and only using the 4 blue direction tiles.
    • Shrink – the elephant cut out with a smaller purple elephant inside it allows Waldo to shrink to pass through narrow passageways.
      • This tile is introduced in level 7.
  • Strategy
    • On most levels you will need to use all the movement tiles provided, though if you have any leftover that is fine.
    • You can use the hearts and the hat to help you figure out the required path as the goal is to have Waldo collect all 3 hearts.
      • Similarly, if there are special blocks like a miniaturization path you typically go through that path.
      • Start by building on the path of the direction Waldo is facing off the start and figure out what turn or movement needs to be made to make it to the first hat.
    • If you get stuck on piece placement you can also work backward from the finish where Muffy is to figure out where that path intersects with the forward path.
    • If you mislay a piece you can pause the game then move it again.
