• Starting the Game

    • To rotate the ship:
      • Use the left and right arrow keys on your keyboard.
      • Left click and drag on the screen with your mouse.

    • To move:
      • Use the up and down arrow keys on your keyboard to move forward or backward in the direction you are facing.
  • Touchscreen devices
    • With your fingers, tap and swipe on the screen to move.
  • Controls and indicators

• Game Play
  • Basic rules
    • Choose a ship from the selection screen. There are 3 designs to choose from.
    • Attack incoming enemies and asteroids.
      • The ship automatically shoots.
      • To attack, simply move the ship toward the direction of the asteroid or ship.
      • Some ships and asteroids take longer to take out than others.
    • Survive for as long as you can.
  • Hit points
    • You start a game with 100 hit points.
    • Each time you get hit, you lose more hit points.
    • Lose all of them and it’s game over.
    • Catch the heart power ups to replenish your hit points.
  • Power ups
    • Collect power ups as they appear onscreen.
    • Some powerups provide temporary benefits, such as beams and shields.
    • Other power ups change the way you shoot, like offering missiles. Some powerups are thus more desirable than others.
    • Hearts appear periodically which allow you to restore health.
  • Movement
    • Throughout most of the game it is best to stay in the center of the screen so that you have plenty of time to react to enemies coming in from any direction.
    • Sometimes the center gets crowded, and one side of the screen is clear, making it logical to move away from the center at least temporarily.
    • Keep in mind that as you move you’ll also need to readjust your shot aim.
  • Dodging vs fighting
    • Large asteroids move along a straight path. They can take many hits to destroy and if it is apparent you will not be able to destroy them before they hit you, then it can make sense to evade them.
    • Smaller ships that come at you also shoot when they are near, thus you should generally try to fight them rather than evading them, as they can adjust their course path and keep shooting at you while you struggle to aim at them as you are moving.
  • Scoring
    • Earn points for each enemy ship or asteroid you destroy.
