Ballio Game for Kids Video Game Play Instructions

• Starting the Game
  • Tap in the center of the game’s welcome screen to bring up the level select screen.
    • Initially only the first level is unlocked.
    • You unlock a level each time you beat one.
    • Your web browser automatically saves
  • The welcome screen has a sound control button in the upper right corner & a more games button at the bottom.
• Game Controls
  • Desktop
    • Use your mouse left click button to select a ball and drag in the direction you want to move it.
  • Touchscreen devices
    • Tap the screen with a finger and drag your finger along the screen to sling balls.
  • Controls & indicators
    • Across the top of the screen there is a level select button, the current level number is shown, and a level restart button appears in the upper right.
• Game Play
  • Slinging basics
    • You can only sling a ball in the direction of another ball.
    • Balls stop 1 square short of the ball they run into.
    • Balls which are hit are knocked off the screen, unless there is another ball further along in the same row or column. If there are multiple consecutive balls being hit each acts as part of the chain reaction, while stopping one square short of the ball they hit. The final ball in the chain is sent off screen.
    • If balls touch one another you can not sling them at each other. You must have some clearance between the two cells to be able to sling a ball.
  • Strategy
    • If you are stuck it can help to start the level using a different ball or start by hitting balls in a different direction.
    • In general I found moving balls from the outermost perimeter inward usually works better than moving inward out.
    • If you can get all balls onto a single row or column then winning is easy.
    • A common pattern to create in the game is an L (or a similar shape in a different direction). The problem with this shape is you end up needing to knock one of the pieces out of place, so it is best to think back how to move things to where one of the balls is one row or column over so that when you hit another into it that second one is inline with the remaining ball.
