This is a deceptively difficult mobile tap game where you throw bananas from a spinner in the middle of the screen at guerrilla located at the top and bottom of the screen.
- Throw the banana when the timing is right to hit one of the guerillas.
- If your spinner in the middle looks like a bomb then time your release so that the dynamite it throws does not hit either guerilla.
- Each throw is worth one point & the spinner moves faster each throw you make.

Banana Mania Guerilla Banana Throw Game Play Instructions

Throw bananas at the guerillas and throw the dynamite away from them.
- Starting the Game
- Click anywhere on the load screen to begin the game.
- This will then scroll the game down to the level select. Click on the play button to start the game.
- Each level must be beat to unlock subsequent levels.
- Your local web browser stores your game progress.
- The welcome screen for the game also contains three buttons in the lower left corner.
- A music note to turn sounds on or off.
- A bar graph button which shows how many game sessions you have played, the number of bananas thrown, the number of explosions, how many times you checked game stats, hours and minutes spent playing the game, and if you reached it to the final revelation.
- A smiley face which shows game design info.
- Game Controls
- Playing
- Throw the bananas at the guerillas.
- Throw the bombs away from the guerillas.
- As you count down from 32 the game moves progressively faster.
- Each time a guerilla catches a banana they change their outfit.
- The game offers about a half-dozen different background images which last throughout the duration of each game.
- Scoring
- Each banana you throw which hits a guerilla is worth a point.
- Each dynamite you throw which does not hit a guerilla is worth a point.
- Mouse
- Left click to throw items.
- Touchscreen
- Use your finger like a mouse & tap to throw bananas or bombs.
- I found this game was easier to play on a cell phone than on a mouse as it felt more responsive when I tapped to throw a banana.
- Dying
- The game is not timed, however it is a one-hit death.
- If you waste a single banana the game is over.
- If a bomb hits either guerilla the game is over.
- Strategy
- This is a rhythm-based game, but it is hard to get a rhythm as
- the speed of the spinner keeps changing as you progress through the game
- dynamite appears periodically, which changes when you would want to release
- Map strategy
- The guerillas are at the top and bottom on the maps, but sometimes certain maps can feel more appealing than others.
- You can quickly intentionally lose on the maps you do not like & if there are too many bombs off the start that throw your timing off you can also intentionally lose quickly to start the level again.
- Speed adjustment strategy
- When you lose there is a play button to start again, but the speed will be significantly slower than the pace you were just playing at if you almost beat the level.
- One thing I do off the start of the first level is throw once or twice at each guerilla on top and bottom for the first 4 or 5 throws, so that I am clicking more frequently and do not get used to clicking too slowly.
- Then as that gets harder to land I throw once each at them on each revolution until the level is about 50% complete.
- After that I pick a single guerilla to throw at and try to throw a banana each revolution for the next 6 to 8 rounds.
- After that I try to periodically time throwing a banana every few rotations. I set my mouse near the release point I want and try to click when the spinner is just ahead of it.
- Difficulty
- The difficulty within each level jumps significantly from beginning to end as your thrower spins at a faster speed.
- The difficulty across levels also increases a lot as new levels introduce more competitive aspects to the game.
- For example, after beating the first level you find on the second level that the guerillas move side to side across the screen and some of your bananas you throw end up shrinking the guerillas, making it harder to hit them with subsequent bananas.
- On the third level the spinner in the middle has a second spinner outside of it moving in the opposite direction.
- If you shoot when the second spinner is yellow you throw regular bananas.
- If you shoot when the second spinner is pink you throw shrinking bananas.
- If you shoot when the second spinner is black you throw explosives.
