• Starting the Game
  • To begin, click on the arrow button in the magnifying glass on the welcome screen.

• Game Play
  • This game consists of three different minigames. Two of the minigames make up the first three levels of the game. The final minigame comprises the fourth and final level of the game.
  • The game gives you the option to replay a completed level to increase your high score.
  • The culprit will manifest very briefly in each of the levels.
  • The game will give you a free hint for the first two minigames at the first level.
  • The first minigame involves searching for specific objects in a messy room.
    • You have a brief period to look for the specific objects listed in the bottom row.
    • The longer it takes for you to find the objects, the lower your star rating will be.
    • For every two items you find in succession, you gain an extra five seconds of time.
    • If you’re stumped, you can ask for hints from the game by clicking on the hints button in the lower right corner.
      • In each level, you get three hints.
      • Taking hints will reduce the time you have left and will reduce your final score.
  • The second minigame involves looking for clues in the now-cleared room. You must find all three photo fragments before the time is up.
    • Fred’s version uses a flashlight, Daphne’s a magnifying glass, and Velma’s a scanner. They all function the same.
    • Move the mouse to navigate through the room.
    • Once you find a fragment, click on it.
    • You have a much shorter time frame to look for the fragments.
  • The last minigame is a jigsaw puzzle.
    • Assemble the photo pieces you’ve found to learn the identity of the culprit.
    • Once you find the identity of the ghost, choose from the three suspects in the house.
    • If you chose the right culprit, you’ve won the game.
• Gameplay Hints & Strategies
  • Don’t overlook the obvious when searching for items. Sometimes, the items are exactly where you expect them to be.
  • Look for some items where they would be inconspicuous. A leaf or an eye pattern may disappear into a painting without you noticing.
  • You only have a limited number of hints per level. Because of this and their time penalty, use them only when you need to.
  • You can only play the levels in order. Once you do finish a level, you can choose to replay it.
