- Walkthrough
- A tight fit
- After a phone call with his mother, Max wakes up to find that his already-cluttered bedroom is now several sizes too small. He must find a way to alert his roommate Mica to help him out.
- Click on the window to give him some air. Once that fails, start clicking around the room.
- The objects you click on will either help you alert his roommate or find out more about his life leading up to that point. Max isn’t not a happy young man.
- Click anywhere on the screen to go past Max’s internal dialogue. But don’t click too fast; his audio cues are essential.
- The Rube Goldberg method
- To alert his roommate, Max must make some noise. To do that, he must find a way to take down the vase using the novelty 8-Ball on the far right end of the shelf.
- To move the 8-ball.
- Turn off the fan using the power strip on the bottom of the floor.
- Turn on the air conditioner on the far end of the room.
- This will blow the skeleton doll’s tag toward the fan while moving the 8-ball.
- Turn on the fan again. The tag will snag on the fan blades and the doll will fall off.
- Move the spaceship to knock off the puzzle cube.
- This will let the 8-ball move unobstructed, where it will fall off the shelf.
- The 8-ball will bounce on the ruler in the window and turn on Max’s computer.
- A song he likes will play, which shrinks him down. This also narrowly misses the vase, which Max is very attached to.
- The title of the game will flash in once you’re done.
- Job applications
- Max writes off the events as a really bad dream. He also turns out to have inadvertently destroyed the vase after all, which makes him question that he wasn’t.
- Move to his computer and check his e-mail. He needs to find a job.
- Max does receive an e-mail for a delivery boy job. Seize the opportunity by selecting the confirm button.
- Select the triangle button on the top right corner to see Max’s inventory.
- Leave the apartment.
- Select Mica’s door to borrow her bike.
- Pick up your keys near the front door to the right.
- Off to work
- Get to the customer as quickly as you can.
- Follow the instructions on the phone app exactly to get you to your destination.
- Input the instructions on time.
- Avoid making mistakes, as they will cause delays and will lower your star rating.
- Lore (Spoilers)
- This game is in continuity with To Duel List and features the same teen protagonist, Max Morales. He has since moved out of his family home ostensibly to apply for a job. However, this and an internship offer didn’t come to pass. Max is still unemployed while his rent is due on Friday.
- His mother calls him around this time, and informs him of another job offer his cousin Carlito has, but Max refuses to take it. By the time he wakes up, he finds himself burdened by the realization (represented in part by his apartment suddenly becoming too small for him). In the previous game, he had struggled with grief and entered a very moody depression.
- While Max tries to apply for a job at a delivery service, one negative review from a customer named Karen leads to his application being rejected. The game ends there, with Max unemployed yet again. He seems to grow in size each time something stressful like this happens.
- This story will resonate with teenagers and adults alike who are struggling with unemployment.
- Target Audience
- The game is suited for players who like idle clicker adventure games.
- Although it has some profanity, the game has no adult themed content.
