Blackjack Master Game for Kids Game Play Instructions

How to Play

Place your initial bet & then determine if you want more hits, or to make another play like splitting or doubling down.

  • Starting the Game
    • Select the PLAY button on the game’s welcome screen.
    • The welcome screen also contains 3 other buttons: instructions, music, and language. You can toggle the music on and off & select between 7 different languages including English, German, French, Portuguese, Spanish and Italian.
    • Instructions
      • The aim of the game is to beat the dealer. There are multiple ways to beat the dealer.
        • Get 21 points on your first tow cards (called a blackjack) without the dealer getting a blackjack.
        • Reach a final higher score than the dealer without exceeding 21.
        • Let the dealer draw additional cards until his hand exceeds 21.
      • The deal
        • The player is dealt an initial two-card hand and adds together the value of their cards.
        • The dealer is also dealt two cards, with one card face up and the other card face down.
        • Face cards (kings, queens, and jacks) are counted as 10 points.
        • Aces are counted as 11 points, though a player can count them as 1 point if they wish.
        • All other cards are counted as the numeric value shown on the card.
      • Playing
        • After receiving their initial cards the player has the option to get a “hit,” which means taking an additional card.
        • In a given round the player or the dealer wins by having a score of 21 or by having the highest score that is less than 21.
        • Scoring higher than 21 is called a “bust” and results in a loss.
        • A player may win by having any final score equal to or less than 21 if the dealer busts.
        • The dealer has to take cards until their cards total 17 points.
        • Players win if they do not bust and have a total that is higher than the dealer’s.
        • The dealer loses if they bust or have a lesser hand than the player who has not busted.
        • If the player and the dealer have the same point total this is called a “push,” and the player does not win or lose chips on that hand.
      • Controls
        • Tap onscreen icons for corresponding actions.
  • Game Controls
    • Desktop
      • Use your mouse left click to tap on chips.
      • If you click on the wrong chip(s) click on the CLEAR button in the lower right corner to take your chips off the table and bet again.
      • When your bet has been placed click on the word HIT in the lower left of the game.
    • Touchscreen devices
      • Touch the chips and bet buttons with a finger.
    • The game has a pause button in the upper left corner.
  • Game Play
    • Betting
      • You start the game with 2000 chips.
      • Initially the chip denominations along the bottom are 50, 100, 500, 1000 and 2000.
      • As your chip totals rise or fall the chips along the bottom of the screen change.
      • In general you typically never want to bet more than half your chips (and ideally no more than a third) so that you have the ability to split, double down, or both.
      • If you run out of chips you can start the game over and are given 2000 chips again.
    • Playing
      • After the cards have been dealt you can choose to do any of the following
        • Hit – take another card. After you hit you may choose to stand or take another hit.
        • Double – take a hit while also doubling your bet. If you double then you can not take any more hits after the double down.
        • Stand – do not take another card and do not change your bid.
        • Surrender – give up.
        • Split – you can do this if you get two cards with the same numerical value (e.g. two 9 cards, two aces, or a jack and a king). After splitting you can choose to hit or stand on the subsequent hands.
      • The dealer must hit until they have 17,
    • Blackjack
      • If the dealer has an ace showing you can buy insurance.
      • If you have a blackjack it pays 3:2, meaning if you bet 100 you would earn 150.
    • Strategy
      • There is a table published below offering general strategy advice for this game.
      • In general it makes sense to bid more aggressively when you think you can take more cards without busting and the dealer is showing a 5 or 6 (making them more likely to bust after taking another card).
  • Target Audience
    • Blackjack players of all ages should like this game.
      • While the game is about the topic of gambling there are no ways to buy chips & no ads for gambling.
    • The game has no adult content.

Blackjack Strategy Table

This table tells you when to hit, stand, split and double down. Your cards are on the left side and the dealer’s cards are across the top.

The above table accounts for the fact this game does not allow you to double down after splitting. If you could double down after splitting then you would likely want to split in the following scenarios:

  • 2,2 or 3,3 versus the dealer showing a 2 or a 3
  • 4,4 versus the dealer showing a 5 or a 6
  • 6,6 versus the dealer showing a 2
