  • Basic rules
    • Kick the ball into the opponent’s goal to score.
      • You can kick the ball horizontally and to the sides.
      • See if you can kick the ball over your opponent to keep them from blocking it.
    • Counter the opponent’s attempts to get the ball into your goal.
      • You can physically block your opponents or you can kick them.
      • A kick is the only way for you to counter a power kick.
    • The player who gets the ball into their opponent’s goal earns a point.
    • Have the highest score before the timer runs out to win.
      • You have 45 seconds to earn more points than your opponent.
      • If you and your opponent tie when the timer expires, the game goes into overtime.
      • Earn more points during overtime than your opponent to break the tie and win.
  • Power ups
    • Power ups hover above the field. Jump to collect them.
    • The game has 3 different power ups.
      • Freeze: Stops your opponent in his tracks
      • Slow: Slows down your opponent
      • Power kick:
        • Gives you an extra powerful kick that cannot be blocked.
        • Only a counter kick can stop them.
        • There is a brief cooldown period before you can use the power kick again.
    • The effects of the power ups disappear after a few seconds. Use this precious time wisely.
  • Scoring
    • You earn 1 point for every goal you make.
    • Your web browser records the highest winning score you made in any level of the game.
  • Tips
    • This is a game where playing defensively beats playing aggressively, particularly when you are up into the higher levels late in the game with multiple platforms or fast moving platforms.
    • It is generally easier to kick the ball under the opponent than to kick it over them.
    • If you have the lead and have the ball after a goal is scored you may be able to hold the ball without dribbling to run the clock out.
    • The players you unlock as you progress through the game are stronger, faster, and better at taking shots on goal. If you are struggling to compete don’t forget to upgrade to one of the higher performing unlocked characters.
