Brain Academy Game for Kids Video Game Play Instructions

• Starting the Game
  • To begin, pick a language (English or Spanish) to load the welcome screen.
  • On the welcome screen, select the game mode you want to play.
  • Select the gear button on the top left corner to change the game’s settings:
    • Language
    • Sound volume
  • Your web browser automatically saves your high score.

    • Pick a language
    • Choose from 2 game modes
      • Practice Mode
        • Choose any of the minigames to play at your own leisure.
        • The minigames are arranged in the practice mode’s selection menu.
        • You can play one minigame at a time.
      • Test Mode
        • Play randomized set of five games.
        • After finishing one test, you automatically begin another set.
        • Answer as many of the questions as best you can to earn a high score.
  • Common rules
    • Both game modes have a timer of 40 seconds that appear on the top left corner of the screen.
    • Finish as many rounds as you can within that period.
    • In most games, if you answered correctly, you’ll see a green check appear briefly on screen. A red x appears if you were wrong.
    • Your score is based on the number of answers you got right.
  • Game types
    • Match the cards.
      • Each round consists of a grid of 16 food-themed cards.
      • The cards will appear face-up for a few seconds. Memorize their positions as much as you can.
      • Match all the pairs of cards.
        • Select one, then select another to see if they match.
        • Start with the cards you remember.
        • Match up all the pairs as fast as you can.
      • When you’ve matched all the cards, a new set takes its place. The process starts all over again.
      • Keep playing set after set until the timer runs out.
    • Add the cubes
      • The round begins with a stack of 4 cubes.
      • Select the cubes with numbers that, when added together, will form the number on the top right corner.
      • Each time you select a cube, it disappears from the stack.
      • A number at the bottom center represents the sum of the numbers you’ve cleared from the stack.
      • After you’ve finished adding the sum (or failed to do so), another stack of numbers takes its place. Play as many rounds as you can until the timer runs out.
    • Select the heaviest object
      • Each round of the game starts off with a set of 3 scales with 3 types of objects on them.
      • Compare each of the scales to determine which of the 3 objects is the heaviest.
      • Pick the correct object from the list on the bottom row.
      • After answering, you get a new set of objects on the scales. Answer as many sets as you can until the timer runs out.
    • Select the silhouettes
      • Each round of this game begins with 3 silhouetted food items floating on the top half of the screen.
      • On the bottom of the screen are various food items. Pick out the ones which match the silhouettes shown on the top row.
      • After selecting all 3, you get a new set.
      • Keep playing round after round until timer runs out.
    • Count the donuts
      • In each round, a group of donuts will pass through the conveyor belt.
      • Count the number of donuts as they pass by the machine.
      • Select the correct number of donuts from the 4 numbers shown on the bottom row.
      • After answering, you get another set of donuts.
      • Play as many rounds as you can until the timer runs out.
    • Repeat the colors
      • Each round consists of a sequence of colors playing on the device.
      • Repeat the pattern that played. You only have a few seconds to do so until another one plays.
      • Every round begins and ends with a countdown.
      • Keep repeating patterns until the timer runs out.
    • Select the button with the most money
      • Pick which of the two buttons shown in each round has the most amount of money.
        • Value is based on the denomination of the coins on it, not the number of coins.
        • Add up the value of the coins in your head, then select the button that has the most amount of money.
      • Keep choosing buttons until the timer runs out.
    • Select from the smallest to the largest
      • Each round comprises a set of balloons with numbers on them.
      • Your task is to pop the balloons based on the numbers on them. Start from the smallest number and end with the largest.
      • Get one wrong, and you automatically proceed to the next round.
      • Keep playing through as many rounds as you can before the timer runs out.
    • Select the same card that you see
      • Each round begins with a card in the upper row showing a person, which will linger for a few seconds.
      • Look at the person carefully and memorize as many of their features as possible
      • After that, the card will disappear and 3 more cards will appear. Pick the card that matches the first one exactly.
      • Play through as many rounds as you can before the timer runs out.
    • Select the ball that bounces higher
      • In each round are 3 colored balls that automatically start bouncing.
      • Observe the balls closely and select the one that bounces the highest.
      • Keep selecting the right balls until the timer runs out.
