Break Bricks Game for Kids Video Game Play Instructions

• Starting the Game
  • On the welcome screen, select the large yellow play button at the center to begin.
  • Your web browser automatically saves your high score.
• Game Controls

    • With your mouse, left click and drag to aim. Release to launch.
  • Touchscreen devices
    • Tap and hold with your fingers to aim. Release to launch.
  • Controls and indicators
    • The game’s controls and indicators are shown on the top row. From left to right, they are as follows:
      • Score
      • Ellipsis button:
        • This pauses the game and opens the pause menu.
        • The pause menus are as follows (clockwise from the top):
          • Play button: Resumes the game
          • Reset button: Starts a new game from the beginning
          • Home button: Quits the game and exits to the welcome screen
          • Speaker button: Turns the game’s audio on or off
• Game Play
  • Basic rules
    • Start your turn by launching the gears at the stack of numbered bricks.
      • Each time the bricks get hit by gears, the number on them goes down.
      • If the number goes down to zero, the brick disappears.
    • After each turn, new bricks arrive and the remaining bricks move down.
      • The number of these bricks get higher.
      • If any of the bricks reach the bottom row, it’s game over.
      • Clear as many bricks as you can before that happens.
    • You get more ammunition each time one of the gears you’ve launched collects another gear mixed in with the bricks.
  • Scoring
    • Each brick you take out is 10 points.
    • You can view your current and best scores on the game over screen.
  • Strategy
    • As much as possible, clear out the bottom bricks first.
    • See if you can shoot the gears above the bricks.
      • The turn will not end until all the gears get back to you.
      • If the gears find themselves surrounded by high-value bricks, they will bounce around.
