Free Classic Bubble Breaker Game Play Instructions

• Starting the Game
  • Click on the arrow in a bubble to use keyboard controls.
  • Click on the controller in the bottom half of the screen to use touch controls. Then tap the word “yes” on the screen to activate touch controls.
• Game Controls
  • General
    • You can turn sound on or off using the button in the upper right corner of the screen.
  • Keyboard
    • Press the left and right arrows on your keyboard to move left or right.
    • Tap the spacebar to shoot your bubble breaker upward.
  • Touch
    • Use the on screen buttons to move and shoot your bubble breaker.
• Dying
  • You die if you run out of time or if a bubble touches your character.
  • You get 3 lives in each game.
  • If you die you start the current level from the beginning with all the original bubbles in tact.
  • If you die 3 times and then continue you will still start off in the same level.
  • If you close out the game and then later restart it you will start at the first level.
• Strategy
  • Difficulty
    • This game looks deceptively easy but is quite difficult. The game is harder than the game Super Buster Bros. on the Super Nintendo was as your character is much larger, making it easier to accidentally get hit & leaving your bubble breaker on the screen for a shorter time duration.
    • Levels are timed, with players getting 60 seconds to complete each level. It makes sense to be aggressive early on in a level to ensure you will be able to beat it with time remaining.
  • Destroying Bubbles
    • You do not need to hit a bubble with the tip of your shot. The bubble running into the side of a shot will break it.
    • Each large broken bubble splits into two, while the smallest bubbles disappear when they are hit.
    • As the number of bubbles on the screen increases the odds of getting hit also increase. Therefore it makes sense to break the smallest bubbles first and then work on larger bubbles, so as to limit the total number of bubbles appearing on the screen at one time.
  • Power Ups
    • You can get power ups including a protective bubble which acts similarly to a mushroom in Super Mario Bros. by giving you an extra hit. The protective bubble disappears either when you get hit once or when you complete a level.
