Color Blocks Game for Kids Video Game Play Instructions

• Starting the Game
  • Tap anywhere on the game loading screen to bring up the game’s welcome screen.
  • Select the yellow and white play button in the lower center of the welcome screen to bring up the level select screen.
• Game Controls
  • Desktop
    • Use your mouse left click button to select a paint swatch and have it paint in the direction of the arrow on the paint swatch.
    • Repeat the process until you have matched the pattern shown at the top of the screen.
  • Touchscreen devices
    • Tap the screen with a finger to select a paint swatch and have it paint in the direction of the arrow on the paint swatch.
    • Repeat the process until you have matched the pattern shown at the top of the screen.
  • Controls & indicators
    • The upper left corner of the screen has a home button.
    • The top center of the screen shows the current level number you are playing.
    • The upper right corner of the screen has buttons for restarting the current level and controlling game sound.
    • Underneath the above indicators is the pattern you need to match.
    • The level select screen shows which levels you have unlocked.
• Game Play
  • Basics
    • Goal
      • The goal of this game is to paint the cells below in the correct order to match the image shown at the top of the stage.
      • Select on the paint cells around the perimeter of the puzzle to pour the paint into the puzzle. The paint will flow in the direction of the arrow on the paint cell.
      • When multiple colors touch a cell only the last color which touches the cell counts & the prior color or colors are painted over.
      • The paint source tiles turn black after they are used & are not considered part of the puzzle for the sake of pattern matching.
    • Special tiles
      • Spiked cells stop the flow of paint.
      • Stones with angled mirrors in them redirect the direction of paint flow orthogonally.
  • Levels
    • This game has 36 stages which are unlocked sequentially.
      • You can go back and replay previously beat levels at any time.
    • Winning vs losing
      • To win you must precisely recreate the example image shown at the top of the screen by moving the color blocks at the bottom. You must use all color blocks for a level to be considered complete.
      • You lose a level by not making an exact match of the pattern above.
      • If you lose a level you can restart it by selecting the restart button in the upeer right. This game offers unlimited continues.
  • Tips
    • When the level loads pay attention to any special cells with mirrors or spikes on them. Work backward from where the mirror redirects paint to determine which cells you should paint first.
    • If you see a color swatch where the direction it faces does not have any of that color use the swatch immediately so that it paints under the other swatches & the other swatches can paint over it. All paint swatches must be used to beat each level.
    • If you see an entire row or column which is a single color you can save the associated paint swatch for the end as you don’t risk painting over or harming any of the other color patterns by using it last.
    • Paint can skip over gaps in the board. The only things that stop the flow of paint are either reaching the edge of the board or running into a cell with spikes on it. Mirrors do not stop the flow of paint, but redirect it.
