Connect 10 Adding Game for Kids Video Game Play Instructions

• Starting the Game
  • On the welcome screen, select Play to begin.

• Game Play
  • Levels
    • Levels are unlocked sequentially. Finish one level to unlock the next.
    • When reloading the game, you have the option of starting over from the first level or the latest level you’ve unlocked.
    • There are 15 levels in this game.
    • You must beat the level before the timer runs out, or else you have to replay the level again.
    • Too beat a level you need not clear all tiles from the board, but need to use tiles until it is no longer possible to make a set of 10.
  • Basic rules
    • Connect a chain of numbers vertically, horizontally, or moving in both directions, so their sum forms the number 10.
      • Each time you fuse numbers, the value of each used number tile goes down by 1.
      • The number’s value can go down all the way to 0.
      • To remove a number tile from the field, include it in a chain when its value is 0.
    • If the chain doesn’t form 10, the game will point out if you are high or low.
    • If you ever find yourself with fewer options, select the rotate button to change the orientation of the screen.
      • The screen will rotate in a clockwise direction.
      • Rotating the screen will cost you nothing.
    • Finish off all possible chains before the timer runs out to clear the level.
  • Scoring
    • Your score is based on the length of the chain you make.
    • The lowest score you can get is 5 points, which involves linking 2 tiles.
    • You also receive a bonus of 30 points per second of time remaining on the timer.
  • Hints
    • Select the hint button if you can’t find any possible combinations.
    • Once you select the hint button, the game will highlight one potential chain onscreen.
    • Each hint costs you 500 points, so use them sparingly.
  • Strategy
    • Try to work on numbers high on the field first as when you remove tiles numbers fall downward.
    • Match any 9 as early as you can, as other numbers are easier to match as they have more numerical combination pairs.
    • Leave any zero tiles in place that you can so that they provide additional pathways for you to make other pair matches.
    • Make sure you work on the outer columns early so that you do not have tall outer columns with isolated cells that can not connect horizontally.
      • If you have isolated outer columns which are taller than adjacent columns use the board rotate feature.
