  • Levels
    • Levels are unlocked sequentially:
      • Only the first level is playable at the start of the game.
      • Finishing one level automatically unlocks the next one.
      • Select Next Level on the win screen to return you to the level selection screen.
    • There are 30 levels in this game.
    • You can replay any of the levels you’ve already unlocked.
  • Basic rules
    • Select 2 identical tiles to remove them from the field. The tiles are themed after sea creatures.
      • The tiles must be connectable by a single path with no more than 2 right angles.
      • Adjacent pairs of tiles can also be selected and removed.
    • Remove all the tiles onscreen to clear the level before the timer runs out.
      • You start with 1 minute and 8 seconds on the clock on the first level.
      • Later levels have a shorter time limit and more tiles.
      • You fail the level if you don’t clear all the stones in time.
        • You can try again.
        • You can also end your playthrough. This lets you save your score in the leaderboard.
  • Scoring
    • You have 2 scores in this game:
      • Your level score represents your best score in a level.
      • Your total score is the sum of all your level scores.
    • Level score
      • Every pair of tiles you clear adds 50 points to your level score.
      • You also receive a chain bonus each time you remove 2 or more pairs in rapid succession.
        • Your base bonus from a chain is 30 points.
        • The longer your chain, the higher your bonus. For each match it grows geometrically: 30, 60, 100, 150, 210, 280, 360, 450, 550, 660, 780, 910, 1,050, 1,200, 1,360, 1,530, 1,710, 1,900, 2,100, etc.
        • Wait too long and your chain breaks. You automatically receive the points you’ve earned from the pairs you already cleared.
        • Periodically you can make longer distant matches to give yourself time to make other matches.
        • Your chain bonus starts anew at the beginning of each level.
      • After finishing, you receive 50 bonus points for every second remaining on the timer.
      • Your level score is shown below the level’s icon on the selection screen.
    • Total score
      • You can improve your total score by playing more levels or replaying earlier levels.
      • Your total score is shown in the bottom center of the level selection screen.
      • There are two ways to save your total score:
        • Play through all 30 levels.
        • End the playthrough after a game over.
  • Assistance
    • You have 3 hints and shuffles to help you with the level.
      • Selecting the hint button will show you any valid pair of tiles.
      • Shuffles rearrange the tiles in the field. This is useful if you want to make more obvious pairs.
    • Progressing to the next level replenishes your hints and shuffles.
    • However, hints and manual shuffles cost points. Use them sparingly.
      • Hints cost 200 points.
      • Manual shuffles cost 300 points.
  • Strategy
    • The key to earning a high score in this game is to try to create a chain match which lasts for the entire level on each stage.
    • Since you can not replay levels you can refresh your web browser window before clearing a level to restart it over again.
    • When you are making short matches it helps to mix it up and make some matches with more distance between them so you have a longer period to make your next move.
