Game Play
Dying
You start the game with 3 hit points.
You lose a hit point anytime a bomb explodes where you are, anytime you jump into a spike, or anytime you jump into a wall. Bombs have a counter on them which counts down how long until they explode.
If you lose all 3 hit points it is game over.
There is no way to restore health.
When you lose you start back at the first level.
Gameplay
Each round consists of a number of jumps back and forth from left to right then right to left.
Whenever you jump and hit a wall the center column remains and you land where you jumped from.
Whenever you jump and hit a fish you jump across to the other side and the wall in the center is rotated out for a new one.
Levels
Most levels of the game consist of jumping back and forth through a wall with holes in it to collect fish.
Levels are not timed, however you must cross back and forth a certain number of times to beat the level.
At the end of each level the game either throws up 3 fish where you can try to catch one or more of them, or a Super Mario Bros styled coin box you can hit 3 times to score an additional 3 points.
Some levels are boss battles. There are multiple different kinds of boss battles
Boss 1: The boss has spikes on both sides of its head at the top of the screen and each remaining square of the boss has a spike on one side and a flat wall on the other side.
When you jump back and forth some squares will shift the side that has a spike on it while others do not.
Sometimes when you hit the boss a bomb will be knocked out at you.
It is best to try to clear a couple bottom rows of the boss first so that you can quickly move to the other side to escape any bombs.
Boss 2: The boss has a spiked head and a smooth botty. A single tile with spikes on it moves up and down on each side.
You have to hit every body tile while the spiked tile is not over that location.
Sometimes when you hit the boss a bomb will be knocked out at you.
It is best to try to clear a couple bottom rows of the boss first so that you can quickly move to the other side to escape any bombs.
Boss 3: There is a stationary flying bird you must run into, but each time you hit the bird it changes location and a spiked wall is created where the bird was located.
You must hit the bird about 9 times to beat the level.
Hitting the bird gets harder as the center column fills with spiked walls.
In addition, bombs are often dropped when you hit them.
Boss 4: This one is a surprise. 🙂
