- Level selection
- Levels are unlocked sequentially
- Only the first level is playable at the start of the game.
- Finish one level to unlock the next.
- You can replay any of the levels you’ve already unlocked.
- The level select screen shows what score you earned on each level.
- If you fail to finish the level on time, you have the option to continue or end the game. This will allow you to save your score on the leaderboard.
- There are 85 levels in this game.
- Each level has a unique board layout and time limit.
- Level times tend to increase as you progress through the game.
- The first level gives you 1 minute to make 8 tile pair. All tiles on the first level are on a single depth layer, whereas on some later levels tiles are on deeper stacks.
- The fifth level gives you 1:15 to make 30 tile pair.
- Basic rules
- Match pairs of identical hexagonal tiles until the entire arrangement of tiles is cleared.
- Select one tile and then another to make a pair.
- You can only pair free tiles.
- Free tiles are those with at least 3 consecutive free sides.
- The game helpfully highlights all free tiles onscreen in a lighter color, while the hexagons that are not free have a darker tone.
- Clear all the tiles on the field before the timer runs out.
- Strategy
- Try to remove tiles from the longest runs and highest stacks early to help open up the playing field and enable other plays.
- As you progress through the game and levels contain more tiles the color differences between tiles can diminish, making it harder to distinguish exact matches from near matches, so ensure you play in a well-lit area and are wearing glasses if you need them to distinguish between smaller differences.
- Scoring
- Each level you played has its own score.
- Every pair of stones you remove is worth 50 points.
- You also receive 10 points for every second remaining on the timer when you beat a level.
- Your total score is the cumulative value of the highest scores you’ve made on each level you’ve unlocked.
- When you replay a level, you can change your total score by scoring higher than you did before on that level.
- Once you finish all the levels or end the game after a game over, you can save your total score on the leaderboard.
- Hints and shuffles
- If you’re ever stumped, use hints and shuffles to help you find new pairs.
- Using the hint button will highlight a random pair of tiles somewhere in the stack.
- Using the shuffle button will change the arrangement of the tiles.
- Hints and shuffles cost points. Use them sparingly.
- Hints cost 100 points.
- Shuffles cost 400 points.
- As the game automatically shuffles when you run out of tiles without a point penalty, we do not recommend using the shuffle option.
- Target Audience
- The game is suited for players who like Mahjong Solitaire card games.
- The game has no adult themed content.
