• Starting the Game
  • On the welcome screen, select Play to begin.

  • Controls and indicators
    • The game’s controls and indicators are located at the right side of the screen. From the top, they are as follows:
      • Enlarge button: Lets you switch between windowed and full-screen modes

• Game Play
  • Levels
    • Levels are unlocked sequentially:
      • Only the first level is playable at the start of the game.
      • Finishing one level automatically unlocks the next one.
    • There are 10 levels in this game.
      • You can’t replay previously beat levels without starting the game over at the first level.
    • Each time you reload the game, you have 2 options:
      • Continue from the last level you’ve unlocked.
      • Start a new playthrough. This will erase your previous progress.
  • Basic rules
    • Select a pair of identical tea-themed Mahjong stones to remove them from the stack.
      • Stones contain a variety of items including tea kettles, cups of tea, tea leaves, croissants, deserts, and forks.
      • Some tiles contain multiple of an item on them. In these cases you need to match both the item and the quantity.
    • You can only pair free stones.
      • Free stones have no stone above them and at least one side (left or right) without an adjacent stone.
      • The game marks free stones in white and non-free stones in light blue.
    • Autoshuffle
      • If no valid matches remain the board is automatically shuffled.
      • This means at least one valid match is always available until the level is completed.
      • Automated shuffles do not cost you points.
    • Clear the entire stack before the level’s timer expires.
      • You start with 1 minute and 8 seconds on the clock on the first level.
        • Later levels have a longer time limit and more stones.
      • You fail the level if you don’t clear all the stones in time.
        • You can opt to try the level again.
        • Otherwise, you can end your playthrough. This lets you save your score in the leaderboard.
  • Scoring
    • Scoring is cumulative in this game. Your score from one level carries over to the next.
      • Every pair of tiles you clear adds 100 points to your score.
      • After finishing, you also receive 30 bonus points for every second remaining on the timer.
    • There are 2 ways to save your total score:
      • Play through all 10 levels.
      • End your playthrough after a game over.
  • Assistance
    • Use the hint and shuffle buttons if you’re ever stuck.
      • Selecting the hint button will show you any valid pair of tiles.
      • Shuffles rearrange the stones on the stack.
        • This is useful if you want to make more obvious pairs.
        • The game automatically shuffles the stack if you ever run out of pairs.
    • You get an unlimited number of hints and shuffles.
    • However, hints and manual shuffles cost points. Use them sparingly.
      • Each hint costs 200 points.
      • Manual shuffles cost 400 points.
