The phrase “cup of tea” can mean easy, or be related to tea break. In this 10-stage game both meanings apply – at least on the early levels. The easy part is because the game is turn 1 play, any card can be placed on an empty tableau stack, and the early levels give you plenty of time to beat them. This game is generally easy on all levels other than the last couple levels as they give you 2 minutes and 90 seconds to beat them.
- Build down while alternating suit colors on the tableau. Any card or any run of cards can be placed on an empty stack location on the tableau.
- Shuffle through the cards in the reserves to help you make other plays.
- Build all 4 suited foundations before the level timer runs out.

- Controls & indicators
- The upper left of the play area contains the reserves, which also shows how many cards remain in the reserves.
- The 4 foundations are right of the reserves.
- The game’s controls are in the left rail.
- The top has a full screen mode button.
- Next it shows cumulative game score, remaining level time limit, current level number, and possible remaining moves.
- The bottom has three buttons to pause the game, control game sound, and control game music.
- Game Play
- Deal
- This is a standard single-deck Klondike Solitaire game where 28 cards are dealt to the tableau across 7 columns and the other 24 cards are dealt to the reserves.
- The first column on the tableau has a single card in it & each subsequent column has one more card than the prior column.
- The bottom card of each column on the tableau is face up with the remaining cards being dealt face down.
- Playing
- On the tableau build down in sequential order while alternating suit colors.
- Any card (or runs of cards) can be moved to empty columns on the tableau.
- Build the suited foundations in ascending order starting with the Aces.
- You can shuffle through the reserves an unlimited number of times.
- Reserves are dealt turn 1.
- Since the reserves are dealt turn 1 you should typically prefer to play cards from the tableau over cards from the reserves when you have a choice between the two.
- Cards which have been laid to a foundation can not be returned to play on the tableau.
- The game autoplays some cards to the foundation.
- You can also resort columns on the tableau and manually move cards to the foundations.
- Levels
- This game has 10 levels which are unlocked sequentially.
- You can’t go back and replay previously beat levels without starting the game over at the beginning of the first level.
- The first level gives you 6 minutes to complete it.
- Each subsequent level gives you 30 seconds fewer to beat it than the prior level.
- The final level must be completed in 90 seconds or less!
- If you have no possible moves or run out of time an End Game button appears.
- If you press that button you can submit your score, but your gameplay data is erased.
- If you would like to continue your game don’t press that button & instead click the browser refresh button to continue from the level you were on.
- Scoring
- Your game score is cumulative across levels.
- You score 10 points for each card you lay to the tableau.
- Each second you have remaining when you beat a level is worth 5 points.
- You tend to score more points on earlier levels since you have a longer time limit to beat them, giving you more remaining time when the levels are beat.
- Strategy
- The game allows you to place any card on an open column & the reserves are dealt turn one, so it makes sense to work on the shortest stacks of the tableau first to keep clearing out stacks to enable other moves.
- As you advance through the game the time limit is quite short for the last couple levels. Try to turn all the cards on the tableau face up as fast as possible and then repeatedly click through the shuffle to rely on the autoplay to move the remaining cards across to the foundations.
- Target Audience
- The game is suited for players who like Klondike Solitaire card games.
- The game has no adult themed content.
