• Starting the Game
  • On the welcome screen, select Play to begin.

    • With your keyboard:
      • Use the arrow keys to move the forklift and push the blocks.
      • Use the backspace key to undo your last move.

      • Left click on the backspace buttons to undo your last move.

    • With your fingers:
      • Tap and swipe the forklift to around.
      • Tap on the undo button to take back your last move.
  • Controls & indicators
    • The controls and indicators of the game are located on the left side of the screen. From the top, they are as follows:
      • The game’s logo
      • Date: Use this to switch to a different day’s Sokoban puzzle.
      • Timer: This counts the time it takes you to solve the puzzle.
      • Move counter: This counts the number of moves it took to finish the game.
      • Undo button: This takes back your last move. Use this when playing on a touchscreen device.
      • Restart button: Use this to reset the entire level from the beginning.
      • The bottom row of buttons are as follows, from left to right:
        • Music button: Toggle the game’s music.
        • Sound effects button: Toggle the game’s audio cues.
        • Enlarge button: Switch between windowed and full screen modes
• Game Play
  • Generating puzzles
    • The game generates a different puzzle for every day of the year.
    • You can choose up to 365 to 366 different puzzles for each difficulty level.
    • You can play again by choosing the puzzle of a different day on the calendar or by selecting next on the winning screen.
  • Objectives
    • Move all the boxes to the spaces marked with an x on the playing field.
    • Although the game has a timer and a move counter, it has neither a time nor move limit.
      • If you’re new, take all the time and moves you need to finish the puzzle.
      • If you want to challenge yourself, take note of your previous time or moves to give yourself a record to beat.
  • Basic rules
    • You can only move one box at a time.
    • You cannot pull the boxes.
    • You cannot push boxes when they hit a wall. A box that’s on a corner is essentially stuck.
  • Strategy and tips
    • Often, you must push the boxes in a specific order to solve the puzzle.
      • Reconsider the obvious solutions. Pushing in one box too early can make it impossible to maneuver another one into place.
      • Watch your step. Make a move too early and you might render the puzzle unsolvable.
    • Elbow room is the key to keeping the puzzle solvable.
      • Always keep your paths open. The puzzle is unsolvable if neither the boxes nor the forklift can be moved.
      • Sometimes you must move a box to a more open area further away from the target to put it in place properly.
      • You need ample space to avoid placing the box in a corner.
      • It is easy to think of the walls as the enemy in this game. Do not push a box against a wall unless there is an opening in the wall to move it in another direction or it is aligned with its end destination in a straight path.
      • Boxes which are in a corner can not be moved in any direction.
