This is a 9-level row defense game which was inspired by the Plants vs Zombies series. Players can lay energy generating stations, blocking rocks, and fighters with close attack or range attack. Enemies come in waves you have to fight off and if more than 2 enemies make it past your defenses you lose the level.
- Lay power generators to the left edge of the screen to earn more power to be able to buy flamma, zeus, and stones.
- In rows where enemies approach lay a stone near the right edge of the row and then place a zeus range attacker in the middle of the row.
- Keep fighting off waves of enemies until the level has been beat.

Defense Battle Game Play Instructions
How to Play
Fight off waves of enemies on each row to beat each level.
- Starting the Game
- Click the “play game” button. This will bring up the level select screen.
- After the first level the other 8 levels are only unlocked when you have beat previous levels.
- Your game progress is stored automatically in your web browser.
- You can replay any level you have already beat whenever you like.
- Game Controls
- Use your mouse or a touchscreen device to grab an item from the top menu and place it on the playing field.
- Click on the playing field where you want to place the item.
- Repeat the process.
- Dying
- If 3 or more enemies exit the left side of the screen you lose.
- Enemies come in waves, though as you get into the higher levels it feels more continuous.
- If a stone monster exits the left side of the screen your base is destroyed and you automatically lose, even if you had 3 heart containers remaining.
- Strategy
- Item Order
- When the level starts immediately lay a power generator in the leftmost cell on each row. This generates the power needed to buy other items.
- In most levels I typically have 2 columns of power built by the time the level is over, though in some cases some rows have 3.
- On most levels you usually want to wait until an enemy appears before laying down stones or placing your other defenders so that you defend the correct rows which are attacked early in the level.
- When you see an enemy appear in a row first lay a stone in the far right cell, then lay a Zeus in the middle of the row.
- Item Locations
- As the power cells do not provide any defense or offensive value, they should be laid in the 2 leftmost cells of each row.
- The stones should (generally) be laid in the 2 (to 3) rightmost cells of each row.
- Your other defenders should be laid in between the two.
- Defensemen
- Greek God Zeus has great a range attack shooting lightning bolts across the screen, but is weak if it faces hand to hand combat.
- Syrian gladiator Flamma (under the Hadrian reign of the Romain Empire) has better hand to hand combat, but wears out faster than stone and has no range attack.
- I use Zeus almost exclusively and only use Flamma if I am desperate to fight off an enemy which has broken past the stones and I do not have the money to lay a stone or the stone can not be laid because I just laid one.
- Item Time Outs
- Each time you lay an item there is a brief time out period before you can lay the same item again.
- On level 8 or 9 it may make sense to lay a stone near the right column in between laying down power generators.
- Removing and Restoring Items
- There is no easy way to remove an item which has been laid other than an enemy destroying it.
- When an enemy destroys an item you can lay another item in its place.
- Stone Monsters
- At the end of some levels a powerful stone monster comes through one of the rows.
- If you lay down new stones he just destroyed then he ends up fighting the new stone in the exact same position again. This technique is needed as even if you have 2 or 3 Zeus shooting him with bolts the monster can destroy 3 or 4 stones before dying off.
- On the 9th level multiple stone monsters come at the same time in different rows.
