- Basics
- This is an alien space shooter game where your goal is to clear each stage of enemies.
- Most of the enemies do not shoot at you, however they become dangerous falling projectiles when you hit them. Your health status bar shows how much health you have remaining.
- Some stages have bosses on them which do shoot at you. The bosses can one hit kill you, so being aware of their patterns and how to avoid them is important.
- Power Ups
- Blue dot – when struck by a regular bullet it shoots a horizontal laser across the screen, taking out every other enemy on the same vertical plane. Enemies struck by the blue dot do not fall at you.
- Green dot – when struck by a regular bullet it sprays toxic green ooze on some adjacent enemies, taking them out. Enemies struck by the green dot do not fall at you.
- Falling yellow dot – when you run into it the dot converts into a floating bomb which floats vertically. The bomb floats until it hits something or goes offscreen. While the bomb is in midair you can’t shoot. Enemies blown up by the bomb do not fall at you.
- Falling dot with a horizontal bar – creates a horizontal trampoline-like floor which bounces fallen enemies upward, where they can then take out other enemies.
- Falling dot with 3 vertical dots in it – activates machine gun temporarily. The machine gun is great for taking out bosses quickly, but can overwhelm the screen with falling regular enemies, making it easy to take incidental damage.
- Falling dot with a vertical bar and two angled bars on the sides – shoots laser shots straight up or at angles left or right. When these lasers hit enemies they die instantly & do not fall at you.
- Bosses
- Blue ship – this ship has 2 laser cannons fired periodically on each side & a vacuum attack where it sucks up shrapnel from the middle as a third attack vector.
- Golden cat – shoots a golden fireball out of its mouth.
- Green box – creates a tracking box on the screen which follows you until it stops at some point & then explodes.
- Levels
- This game has 45 levels which are unlocked sequentially.
- Each level has a unique layout.
- Some enemies have 1 or 2 bosses mixed in with the regular enemies, while most levels do not have any bosses.
- You can go back and replay previously beat levels.
- Winning vs losing
- You beat a level by clearing it of enemies while having health remaining on your health bar.
- You lose a level by running out of health.
- This game offers unlimited continues. Each time you die you restart the current level from the beginning.
- Tips
- Clear out an area early in the level so that you can have an area you can be positioned without hitting more enemies.
- Avoid collecting the machine gun unless there are few enemies left on a level or there is a boss on the level. Using the machine gun on ordinary enemies can make them too hard to dodge when the level still has a lot of enemies on it.
- Shoot early on the vertical columns which contain a blue or green power pellet to activate those power ups and clear out many enemies early.
- When enemies fall the horizontal bar across the bottom of the screen can change angles unless you have the trampoline active.
- If you have the trampoline active ensure you are out of the way for the follow through bounce up of enemies in addition to avoiding their falls.
- When fighting bosses it is best to do a series of hit and run moves where you time your attacks between their attacks, avoid, and then come back for additional rounds in a regular pattern.
- When fighting the blue boss work on one side until you have defeated that side, then work on the other. Be careful to not get hit by the vacuum attack.
- When fighting the yellow boss it helps to move a bit to ensure you are not vertically aligned in the center with where it shoots balls from and then attack until it moves again then repeat.
- When fighting the green boss it helps to regularly move side to side in order to see when the tracking box stops moving. When the tracking box does not move and you are moving the boss will soon explode the box location.
- Target Audience
- The game is suited for players who like alien space shooter games inspired by Space Invaders or Galaga.
- The game has no adult themed content.
