The Fairly OddParents Scary GodParents Video Game Play Instructions

• Starting the Game
  • Tap anywhere on the game welcome screen to start the game.
• Game Controls
  • Desktop
    • Use your mouse to select where you want to move and hit the left click button to move there.
    • Repeatedly left click on objects to release Timmy’s friends.
  • Touchscreen devices
    • Use your finger to touch the screen to control Timmy’s movements & release his friends.
  • Across the top of the screen it shows how many lives you have remaining, what your current score is, and there is a pause button in the upper right corner.
    • When you click the pause button it offers a menu with the following options: resume, how to play, mute, and quit game.
• Game Play
  • Movement
    • Click or tap where you want Timmy to move to.
      • Timmy can not move through trees or brush.
      • Plan your level strategy around having movement optionality to switch between rows and columns, particularly as you get to higher levels which are more difficult.
  • Level Design
    • Early levels act as a tutorial with few enemies, few lockers to open, and few obstacles blocking your path.
    • As you advance through levels you get more of all 3: enemies which can hurt you, friends to save, and obstacles.
  • Saving Friends
    • Click or tap on the gray lockers 3 times to release friends.
    • Click or tap on the red objects 5 times to release friends.
    • Friends may be released in any order.
    • You do not have to make all 3 or 5 clicks consecutively in a short period of time. If you click on a locker once or twice you can then go back and save the friend later with the earlier clicks counting toward your total clicks.
  • Power Ups
    • Periodically cake and bacon appear.
    • If another animal runs past the cake before you get to it, then it is gone.
    • Eat the cake before it disappears and Timmy gains special powers which are indicated by a yellow glow.
      • While in the powered up state Timmy can’t be hit by enemies & Timmy can rescue any friend with a single tap.
      • Be forewarned the yellow power up state disappears quickly with little warning.
  • Dying
    • Avoid getting hit by lightning bolts, rabid badgers, or the El Tuba-Cabra.
      • You lose a life when any of them hit you.
      • You start the game with 3 lives & there is no way to replenish lives.
      • Deaths are cumulative across levels.
      • When you die 3 times it is game over and if you want to continue playing it is back to level 1.
    • Rabid badgers
      • Starting on level 2 rabid badgers enter the game from left to right, walking in a straight path across the level.
      • These are quite predictable, slow-moving, and stay on the same vertical plane across the level.
    • El Tuba-Cabra
      • Starting on level 3 El Tuba-Cabra enter the game from right to left, walking in a straight path across the level when they choose which row they will walk down.
      • Initially they move erratically up and down until they decide which path they want to take, so it makes sense to move toward the left side of the screen until you know which path they will head down.
    • Lightning bolts
      • Starting in level 4 Foop moves across the top of the game and shoots lightning bolts straight down.
      • These are shot repeatedly much more frequently than the left or right entering enemies, though you typically have a decent amount of time to avoid them if you are not in the top row.
  • Scoring
    • You score 30 points for each friend you release from a locker.
    • You score 60 points for each friend you release from a red container.
    • The max score you can obtain across all 10 levels is 5,400.
• Target Audience
  • The game is suited for The Fairly OddParents fans of all ages.
    • Early levels are quite easy with the first level having no enemies and the second level only having a single slow enemy.
    • The game’s difficulty ramps up quickly by the time you get to level 9 or 10.
  • The game has no adult themed content.
