Flower Mahjong Connect Tiles Game for Kids Video Game Play Instructions

• Starting the Game
  • On the welcome screen, select Play to begin.

  • Level selection
    • Levels are unlocked sequentially:
      • Only the first level is playable at the start of the game.
      • Finishing one level automatically unlocks the next one.
      • Select Next Level on the win screen to return you to the level selection screen.
    • There are 40 levels in this game.
    • You can replay any of the levels you’ve already unlocked.
  • Basic rules
    • Select identical pairs of tiles to remove them from the field.
      • The tiles must be connectable by a single line with no more than 2 right angles.
      • Adjacent pairs of tiles can also be selected and removed.
      • The tiles will slowly merge together when paired.
    • Remove all the tiles onscreen before the level timer expires to clear the level.
      • You start with 1 minute and 7 seconds on the clock on the first level. Later levels have a x time limit and x stones.
      • You fail the level if you don’t clear all the tiles in time.
        • You can try again.
        • You can also end your playthrough. This lets you save your score in the leaderboard.
  • Scoring
    • You have 2 scores in this game:
      • Your level score represents your best score in the level.
      • Your total score is the sum of all your level scores.
    • Level score:
      • Every pair of tiles you clear adds 50 points to your level score.
      • You also receive a chain bonus for clearing 3 or more pairs in rapid succession.
        • The lowest bonus you can get is 30 points.
        • The longer your chain, the higher your bonus.
          • The chain bonus scoring goes like: 30, 60, 100, 150, 210, 280, 360, 450, 550, 660, 780, 910, 1,050, 1,200, 1,360, 1,530, 1,710, 1,900, 2,100 etc.
        • Wait too long between pairs and the chain ends. You will then receive the points you earned from the chain you built up until that point.
      • After finishing, you receive 30 bonus points for every second remaining on the timer.
      • You can improve your level score by replaying the level and earning a higher score.
      • Your level score is shown below the level’s icon on the selection screen.
    • Total Score
      • You can improve your total score by playing more levels or replaying earlier levels.
      • Your total score is shown in the bottom center of the level selection screen.
      • There are 2 ways to save your total score:
        • Play through all 40 levels.
        • End the playthrough after a game over.
  • Assistance
    • You get an unlimited number of hints and shuffles.
      • Selecting the hint button will show you any valid pair of tiles.
      • Shuffles rearrange the stones on the stack. This is useful if you want to make more obvious pairs.
    • However, hints and manual shuffles cost points. Use them sparingly.
      • Hints cost 200 points
      • Manual shuffles cost 300 points.
  • Strategy to earn a high score
    • The key to earning a high score in this game is to try to beat levels on a single chain to maximize your chain bonus.
    • If you periodically match stones which are far away from each other that will give you more time to make the next match and keep the chain going.
    • You can replay levels where you lost the chain to see if you can keep it throughout the next play.
    • If you are struggling to make a complete chain on a level keep playing other levels and then later come back to it to try it again.
