How to Play
As Gingerman, recover your gummy buttons, defeat enemies, and reach the end of the level.
- Starting the Game
- Select Start to load the welcome screen.
- On the welcome screen, select the play button on the lower left to begin.
- Once you start the game, it plays a short cutscene explaining its premise.
- After playing through once, you activate training mode. Select the training mode button from the bottom left corner of the welcome screen.
- On the top right corner of the screen are the following buttons:

- Sound button: Toggles the game’s audio
- On the top left corner is the enlarge button. Use this to switch between windowed and full screen modes.

- You can access training mode after you played story mode once.
- Levels in story mode are unlocked in sequence. The only way to revisit a level is through training mode.
- Basic moves
- Run and jump across platforms until you reach the end of the level.
- Attack or avoid wandering enemies.
- Avoid plummeting off the edge of platforms.
- Attacking
- At the start of each level, you are defenseless. Your only defensive option is dodging and avoiding your enemies.
- To start attacking, collect a candy cane from somewhere in the level.
- This can be perilous. Sometimes the candy cane may be located closer to enemies.
- Make collecting the candy cane your main priority at the start of each level.
- You have infinite ammo, but limited range.
- Lives
- At the start, you only have 5 lives.
- You have no hit points. Plummeting and making contact with an enemy will cost you a life.
- If you run out of lives, you cannot progress any further.
- Collect hearts strewn across some levels to earn an extra life.
- Scoring
- Collecting candy adds 10 points to your score.
- Defeating enemies gets you 50 points.
- Earn the highest score in each level by collecting all the candies and killing all the enemies before exiting.
