- Levels
- The game has 50 levels in total.
- Levels are unlocked in order.
- At the start of the game, only the first level is available.
- Basic
- Remove all the pumpkins in the level to win.
- To clear a group of pumpkins, add a pumpkin to groups of 2 or more of the same color.
- If you clear a row of pumpkins that are higher up, it will cause the rows below that are attached to it to disappear as well.
- The type of pumpkin you start with is determined at random.
- You often won’t have the pumpkin of the color you need to take out the lowest row of pumpkins in the level.
- Do not let any of the pumpkins reach the threshold line close to the bottom of the screen or it is game over.
- Every five shots, a row of bricks will form above the pumpkins, which brings them closer to the threshold.
- This adds urgency to the game as you won’t have as much room to put in more pumpkins later on.
- You can also use this to your advantage. Over time, the top row of pumpkins will be much closer to your staring position. This makes it easier to aim for a specific location.
- Some bubble shooter games automatically push down the playing field every so many seconds, whereas in this game the field only moves periodically after 5 shots.
- The pumpkins start moving side to side slightly for the 2 shots prior to the new row forming.
- Launching
- To launch a pumpkin, tap where you want to aim at or use your mouse cursor to aim then tap the left click button. To aim and launch the pumpkin in a linear direction, do the following:
- Mouse: Left click in the general direction you want to fire it.
- Fingers: Tap and swipe as you would with a mouse.
- Left clicking or tapping while aiming toward the walls cause the pumpkins to bounce around once released.
- This method is better when aiming for corners, such as when the pile is much closer to the threshold.
- It also works well when aiming pumpkins away from the point closest to the threshold.
- Scoring
- You score more points by making combos which remove more pumpkins from the playing field on a single shot.
- If you want to replay a level you did not score high on you can play it again at any time from the level select menu.
- If you die you can restart the game on any level.
- Tips
- Tailor your strategy to how the starting pumpkins are arranged.
- Some levels have simple, horizontal arrangements are easier to clear.
- In these levels, your preferred strategy is to launch the pumpkins linearly.
- Horizontal arrangements are also further away from the threshold, so you can take your time.
- Vertically arranged pumpkins are a lot more difficult to deal with.
- In these situations, bouncing the pumpkins off the wall is preferable.
- A vertical arrangement is often very close to the threshold, so work fast.
- Vertical starting arrangements often have weak points. Remove these will cause a cascading effect and can buy you time or help you win the level faster.
- Avoid piling up the pumpkins in one space, especially the center.
- If you must fire pumpkins somewhere where they can’t clear anything yet, distribute them, preferably around the corners.
- See if you can create a gap in the front rows large enough so you can target the inner rows.
- Removing large swaths of the inner rows also takes down the outer rows attached to them.
- Hitting the right inner row can clear out large swaths of pumpkins at once.
- Target Audience
- The game is suited for people who like Halloween or three in a row bubble shooting games.
- The game has no adult content.
