- Levels
- Levels are unlocked sequentially.
- Only the first level is playable at the start of the game.
- Finish one level to unlock the next.
- There are 45 levels in the game.
- You can replay any of the levels you’ve already unlocked.
- On the win screen, you have the following options:
- Select next to begin a new level. This is the only way to unlock the next level in the game.
- Select the level button to view all the levels you’ve already unlocked.
- The playable levels stop at the very last level you’ve played.
- Essentially, you only want to select this option if you want to try the level again.
- Basic rules
- Draw a path to divert the water from the faucet to the cup.
- The tap is somewhere on the upper part of the screen, whereas the glass is at the very bottom.
- You can draw the path anywhere in between the two.
- Select the tap to let the water flow.
- To clear the level, the water must fill the glass to at least the level marked by the dotted line.
- The faucet will only provide a limited amount of water. Make sure to get as much of it to the glass as you can.
- If you don’t fill up the glass, you fail the level and must start over.
- You are not penalized for overfilling the cup.
- If you fail a level you can start it over again.
- Level features:
- Fixed stationary platforms
- Platforms redirect the water.
- You can incorporate them into your solution if you need to.
- Most platforms are static and do not move, while the blue platforms spin to direct water & the yellow platforms fall or move.
- Spinning platforms
- Blue platforms move water in the direction they are spinning.
- You may need to time your water pour optimally to have the right momentum on your water flow, as some of these platforms are near evaporators.
- Falling objects
- Yellow objects (balls, triangles, or rectangles) are not stationary platforms, but things that can move.
- You may need to draw lines to cause moveable objects to impact each other, like a ball rolling down to flip a platform blocking a cup.
- Similarly, you may need to flip some objects out of the way, or create a line that creates a flow path for the water while ensuring balls do not block the water’s flow path.
- Lines can be drawn as cradles to contain yellow balls & platforms.
- Evaporators
- Evaporators will cause the water to disappear before it reaches the cup.
- You must draw around evaporators to get the water flowing where you want.
- Draw Area Lock
- You cannot draw in this area.
- Bypassing this area requires some creativity on your part. 🙂
- Escalators
- Move water which touches them in the direction of the arrows on the side.
- Scoring
- Your score is measured in stars.
- The highest score in-game is 3 stars.
- Stars are measured based on how much ink you use to get the water to the cup.
- The more lines you draw & the more ink you use, the lower your total star rating for the level.
- If you move across the screen quickly you can use less ink to make a line than a similar line which was drawn slower.
- If you are making a line that only needs to be precise at one end start at that end then quickly draw in the other direction.
- If you are struggling to get the lines to render correctly while playing this game in embedded play consider playing it in a stand alone window.
- A meter measures the amount of ink you can draw to earn a star rating.
- As you draw, the meter drops.
- The meter is divided into 3 segments.
- Each time the meter drops past a segment, you have lost a star.
- You can unlock levels with even a single star rating, but can go back to any level you already beat to to try to earn a higher star rating on it.
- Hints
- Select the hint button to get the outline of one possible way to finish the level.
- Hints will cost you nothing.
- However, the arrangement shown by the hints usually involves more lines.
- Use the hints if you’re ever stuck.
- If you want to earn a 3-star rating, consider solving the level on your own.
- Take note of how the hinted solution works. You can use the concepts from
- Target Audience
- The game is suited for players who like cup filling or simple drawing games.
- The game has no adult themed content.
