- Basic rules
- Create rows of hexagons on the board using the pieces shown at the bottom row of the screen.
- Hexagons come in various lengths.
- You get 3 hexagons in each turn.
- You can only get a new set of hexagons if you
- Complete a row of hexagons to clear them.
- A row can be horizontal or diagonal.
- For a row to be complete, each cell must be covered by a hexagon.
- You can clear multiple rows at the same time.
- The game ends when you reach the level’s goal or run out of moves.
- Levels
- Levels are unlocked in sequence. Only the first level is available at the start of the game.
- Your goal in a leveled game is to fill the meter on the top center within a set move limit.
- You get a star rating depending on how many moves it takes to fill the meter. Early in the game you:
- Earn 3 stars for finishing within 10 moves.
- Earn 2 stars for finishing within 20 moves.
- Earn 1 star for finishing within 30 moves.
- If you run out of moves without filling the meter, you fail the level.
- Levels offer various move count limits, but they tend to be around 30 to 35 moves on most early levels, then increase into higher limits on higher levels where you must complete more lines.
- Once you finish a level, you automatically unlock the next one.
- Your best level rating on each level are displayed on the level selection screen.
- Endless
- Earn points for every row you create.
- Keep playing for as long as you can until you run out of valid moves.
- Your best and current scores are shown on the top right corner of the screen.
- Strategy
- Work the perimeter of the playing field as much as you can.
- Row lengths are shorter on the perimeter (5 vs 6, 7, or 8).
- Leaving the center of the puzzle open gives you more play options for a wide variety of piece types & orientations.
- Use pieces in the correct order.
- In some cases you can create two rows with a common cell in them.
- If you fill in all the other cells first to save the common cell for last you can make two rows at once, using the common cell in both rows.
- Piece types
- After you get around a dozen levels into the game new piece types are introduced which add to the difficulty level of the game.
- Whenever piece types curve try to lay them on a perimeter section using all the outer surface area of the piece, or lay pieces in such a way that it gives you multiple options for the type of pieces that can complete a line.
- Target Audience
- The game is suited for players who like Tetris-like line making games.
- The game has no adult themed content.
