Jewel Aquarium Match 3 Game for Kids Video Game Play Instructions

• Starting the Game
  • Select anywhere on the title screen to load the main menu.
  • On the main menu, select the big yellow and blue play button to begin.
  • Below the play button are 3 other buttons:
    • The information button is on the left. It provides a short summary of the game’s rules.
    • The sound button on the center lets you turn the game’s audio on and off.
    • The vanity plate button shows the developer’s name and logo.
  • Your web browser automatically saves your game progress.

    • With your mouse:
      • Left click to select any of the jewel fish.
      • Left click on where you want it to go.
  • Touchscreen devices
    • Tap and drag the fish with your fingers to move it.
• Game Play
  • Levels
    • Levels are unlocked in sequence. At the start, only the first level is unlocked.
    • You can replay any of the levels you have previously unlocked.
  • Interface
    • Top
      • On the top left corner is the number of moves or the timer.
      • Next to it are the number of pearls or boxes you need to take care of.
      • At the center is the point counter.
      • On the top right corner is a meter measuring your star level progress.
  • Basic
    • In one move, form rows of 3 or more fish of the same color.
      • You can only move one fish at a time.
      • If you remove more than 3 fishes of the same color in a single move, the game rewards you with life preservers. Use these to clear larger swaths of the playing field.
      • If you’re stumped, the game will show you a hint where you can make a valid move.
      • If you run out of places to make valid moves, the game reshuffles the entire board.
    • Meet the level’s point threshold to clear it.
      • You fail the level if you run out of moves or run out of time.
  • Life preservers
    • The game rewards you with 3 kids of life preservers throughout the game.
    • Each life preserver provides a different bonus and is unlocked a different way:
      • Solid colored life preserver
        • You unlock them after clearing 4 fishes in a row.
        • They appear in the place of the fish you just removed.
        • When activated, they take out several fish within their radius.
        • They can also explode when another solid colored life preserver is activated near them.
      • White striped life preserver
        • You unlock these when you clear an L-shaped pair of rows that share a single fish.
        • These take out a horizontal or vertical row of fish when activated.
      • Multicolored life preserver
        • You unlock this when you clear a row of 5 identical fish.
        • If it you have it swap places with a fish, it will remove all the fish of that color in the playing field.
    • The life preservers are activated as follows:
      • Solid-colored and white-striped life preservers must be activated in a valid row of fish of the same color.
      • Multicolored life preservers can be activated with only one fish.
    • Life preservers are a key part of “Happy Day,” which gives you a massive bonus at the end of the level
      • Standard and timed modes:
        • Once you finish the available moves in the level, any life preservers you haven’t used will be activated all at once.
        • This will not activate if you do not have any un-detonated life preservers in the level.
      • Boxes and pearls mode:
        • If you clear the level’s objectives before you run out of moves, your remaining moves are turned into life preservers.
        • These are scatted at random in the level and are activated, as will all remaining life preservers.
        • The more moves you have unused, the more life preservers you receive.
  • Level variations
    • Standard
      • Earn enough points to clear the level within a limited number of moves.
    • Timed
      • You have 60 seconds to meet the required number of points to clear the level.
    • Clear the boxes
      • Clear out the boxes by forming valid rows of fishes on them.
      • You only have a few moves to clear all of the boxes in the level.
    • Bring down the pearl
      • Bring down the number of pearls required by the level within a few moves.
  • Star ratings
    • Your star ratings depend on your high score.
    • See your scoring progress on the top right of the screen.
    • You can see your best rating at the level selection screen.
