- Basic rules
- Select 2 identical Mahjong stones to remove them from the stack.
- You can only pair free stones.
- Free stones have no stone above them and at least one side (left or right) without an adjacent stone.
- Free stones have a more vivid color and are easy to spot. Stones which are not free have a lighter color and an ice-type freeze over them.
- You can only select free stones.
- Finish the game in one of 2 ways.
- If playing for a cumulative score, clear the entire stack before the level’s timer expires.
- You start with 3 minutes and 33 seconds on the clock on the first level.
- Later levels have more complex board designs and a longer time limit. For example, the limit on the second level is 3:49.
- You fail the level if you don’t clear all the stones in time.
- You can try again.
- You can also end your playthrough. This lets you save your score in the leaderboard.
- If playing a time trial game, you don’t stop until you clear the entire stack.
- Scoring
- You have 2 different scoring systems in this game:
- Your cumulative score is based on the points you’ve earned from a playthrough.
- This is available if you play the game from Play on the welcome screen.
- Your score is shown on the top row.
- Playing from the level selection screen opens a time trial game.
- Finish the game as fast as you can.
- You still receive points, but they don’t count toward.
- Your best time is shown below the game’s icon.
- Cumulative score
- Every pair of stones you clear adds 100 points to your total score.
- After finishing, you also receive 10 points for every second remaining on the timer.
- Assistance
- Hints
- Selecting the hint button will show you any valid pair of tiles.
- Each hint costs 200 points.
- Shuffles
- Shuffles rearrange the stones on the stack. This is useful if you want to make more obvious pairs.
- The game automatically shuffles the tiles if you run out of pairs. In these case, you receive no point penalty.
- Manual shuffles cost 300 points.
