How to Play
Pick between three multiple choice educational minigames themed after Peyo’s signature characters.
- Starting the Game
- Click on the start button at the bottom center corner of the page to begin.
- This will take you to a selection page. Choose between three game modes:
- Number identification (1, 2, 3, …)
- Addition and subtraction (2 + 3 = …)
- Alphabet (A, B, C, …)
- On the upper left corner are two buttons:
- The yellow home button will take you back to the selection page.
- The blue music button toggles the audio.
- Game Controls
- Desktop
- Left click on the correct answer.
- Mobile
- Use your fingers as a mouse.
- Game Play
- The game consists of three different games.
- All three games consist of multiple choice questions.
- Each time you get a question right, the smurf (or smurfs) onscreen will jump for joy.
- Number Identification
- This is the only level that begins with a tutorial.
- Identify the correct number of smurfs shown on the screen.
- Click on the correct answer from a list on numbers on top corner of the screen.
- If you choose wrong, the number disappears from the list.
- Choose correctly, and you move on to the next question.
- As the number of smurfs on screen increases, more numbers appear on the list.
- Addition and Subtraction
- Choose the correct answer on the list of numbers on the top corner of the screen.
- Like with number identification, if you choose wrong, the number disappears.
- As the value of the each question rises, you get more numbers on the list.
- Below each numeral is a group of smurfberries representing the number’s value.
- Purple smurfberries represent positive numbers.
- Red smurfberries represent negative numbers.
- There are three buttons to the left of the question.
- A list button will show your ratio of right to wrong answers.
- The statistics box will appear on the right center corner of the screen.
- It is grayed out (turned off) by default.
- A plus/minus button toggles the operator of the questions.
- If you choose a plus sign, all your questions will be addition questions.
- If you choose a minus sign, your questions will all be subtraction-based.
- If you choose a plus/minus hybrid, you will receive a mix of addition and subtraction questions.
- A downward arrow button toggles the appearance of smurfberries below the numbers.
- It will appear blue when the berries are visible and gray if the berries are not.
- Alphabet
- Match the capital letters to their lower case counterparts.
- Below a set of capital letters are a jumbled group of lower case letters.
- The lower-case letters come in two fonts: sans serif and cursive.
- Click and drag to match them to the letter they represent.
- Correct matches will appear in green.
- Incorrect matches will appear in red.
- Target Audience
- This game is suited for younger children who are fans Smurfs franchise.
- This game has no adult content.
- Adults may recognize the art style as close to the Smurfs cartoons of their generation.
