Math Game for Kids Video Game Play Instructions

• Starting the Game
  • On the welcome screen, select the play button to begin.
  • Your web browser automatically saves your game progress.
    • You can check out your progress on the top center of the welcome screen.
    • To clear your previous progress, select the gear button on the bottom left corner. WARNING: This cannot be undone.
• Game Controls
  • Desktop
    • With your keyboard, use the number keys above the alphabet keys to answer.
    • With your mouse:
      • Left click on the backspace button to clear the answer space. You cannot use the backspace key on your keyboard.
      • Left click on the check button to lock in your answer.
  • Touchscreen devices
    • Although the game might load on touchscreen devices, its controls were optimized for desktops with keyboards.
  • Controls and indicators
    • Top left corner:
      • Backspace button
    • Top center (top-down):
      • Level number
      • Question dots
    • Top right corner (top-down):
      • Home button: Exits the level and returns you to the welcome screen
      • Grid button: Returns you to the level selection screen
      • Reset button: Starts the level from the beginning
• Game Play
  • Levels
    • Levels are unlocked in sequence.
      • Only the first level is unlocked at the start of the game.
      • Finish one level and select the next button to unlock the next.
    • There are 45 levels in this game.
      • You can replay any of the levels you’ve already unlocked.
    • Levels start off with single-digit addition, multiple digit addition, and then move into the other arithmetic operators as you progress through the game.
  • Basic rules
    • Type in the correct answer to the equation shown on the space provided.
      • The 5 questions appear as a series of dots.
      • The question you’re currently at is highlighted.
    • Once you’ve typed in your answer, select check to see if you got it right.
      • If you get it right, the question is marked with a check.
      • If you don’t it’s marked as an x.
    • Answer all 5 questions to clear the level.
  • Grade
    • Your grade is based on how many correct answers you make.
    • Earn an A by answering all 5 questions correctly.
    • Get only 4 answers correct, and you get an -A, 3 is a B, 2 is a C, 1 or 0 is a D.
