Merge Number Game for Kids Video Game Play Instructions

• Starting the Game
  • Select the play button in the center of the welcome screen to start the game.
  • The lower right corner of the welcome screen has a sound control button.
• Game Controls
  • Desktop
    • Use your mouse left click button to select a stone to increment it.
  • Touchscreen devices
    • Tap the screen with a finger to select stones to increment.
  • Controls & indicators
    • The upper left corner of the screen shows your current score.
    • The upper right of the screen has buttons for sound control, pausing the game, and returning to the game’s welcome screen.
    • There are yellow dots under that above indicators. The bright yellow dots indicate how many moves you have remaining.
• Game Play
  • Basics
    • Your goal in this game is to merge as many stones together as you can.
    • When 3 vertical, horizontal, or L-shaped adjacent stones have the same values they will merge into a single stone of the next integer higher value.
    • Whenever you make a merge tiles fall downward & new tiles fill in the puzzle from the top.
  • Moves
    • You start the game off with 5 turns.
    • Each time you make a move to increment a tile you use a turn.
    • If you make a match of 3 you gain a turn back, and if you set off a chain reaction you gain multiple turns.
    • You can hold a maximum of 5 turns.
  • Strategy
    • When you make merges the tile you last incremented to the merge value is where the other stones will merge toward, so you can use that strategically to determine which stones to increment.
    • Prevent low value stones from getting low on the playing field & try to increment their value higher as you can if you have a chain reaction coming which will restore your move counts.
    • As long as possible try to keep at least one spare move in inventory unless you know the move you make will set up a chain reaction.
  • Scoring
    • Each set of 3 you merge is worth points, with the point value increasing as you set off chain reactions or make higher value merges.
    • Successful merges start at 30 points and move up.
