How to Play
Set the shot strength and angle to try to get a birdie. If you miss the shot you can continue until you make it even if it means you got a bogie, a double bogie, a triple bogie, or a quadruple bogie. 🙂
- Starting the Game
- If it is your first time playing the game click on the single arrow at the bottom of the screen.
- If you have played the game before click on the double arrow to bring up the level select screen.
- If you have played the game before and click on the single arrow it will erase your gameplay data stored in your local web browser.
- In the upper right corner of the game there is a button with 4 arrows on it that expands gameplay to full screen.
- Playing the Game
- Click or touch the screen to begin the shot process.
- Pull back to set the shot strength and angle.
- Try to beat the hole in par or better.
- This 18-hole game requires you to beat each level sequentially to unlock the next, though you can still advance to the next level even with a bogie.
- Your game progress is stored in your local web browser.
- Scoring
- This game provides 1, 2, or 3 stars for each level. There is also a points level associated with different scores. A birdie, for example, is worth 6,000 points.
- If you would like to redo a shot you can click the rounded circle button in the upper right corner to start from the beginning of the level.
- From the level select game on startup you can also go back and play earlier levels one at a time to earn more stars.
- Strategy
- This game starts off easy but gets challenging quickly.
- On some levels you must, for example, approach a large ramp and stop your ball just before the ramp and then make a full strength swing to fully climb the ramp.
- On other levels a hard to climb ramp is followed by a steep ramp your ball can fall down with only a narrow path to stay up.
- You can scroll around the level before you hit the ball to get a feel for the best strategy. If you scroll the level a button in the lower left corner with a golfball on it will return the screen to where your ball is located in the center.
- If you can beat a level but keep getting a poor score on it you may want to move on to the next level and then later come back to the level.
