Mouse Line Drawing Game for Kids Video Game Play Instructions

• Starting the Game
  • Click on the white and black play button in the center of the screen.
    • This will bring up the level select screen.
    • Initially only the first level is available.
    • Each of the 45 levels must be completed sequentially to unlock the next level.
    • You can go back and replay any previously beat level at any time.
  • The bottom of the welcome screen shows how many levels you have unlocked.
    • Your web browser automatically saves your game progress.
    • There is a button in the lower right corner of the game’s welcome screen which allows you to reset your game progress.

    • Use your mouse left click button to draw a line from the tip of the mouse’s nose to the red button with a white X at the end of the level.
    • After your line has been drawn click on the white GO button in the lower right corner.
  • Touchscreen devices
    • Tap the screen with your finger and move it across the level to draw a line from the tip of the mouse’s nose to the red button with a white X at the end of the level.
    • After your line has been drawn tap on the white GO button in the lower right corner.
  • Controls & indicators
    • The upper left corner of the screen displays your current level number.
    • The upper right corner of the screen has three buttons to return to the game’s welcome screen, switch to full screen mode, or restart the current level.
• Game Play
  • Line drawing
    • Your line drawing does not need to be perfectly straight & can turn an unlimited number of times.
    • You must draw the line quickly or else you will run out of chalk before making your way to the red goal at the end of the level.
    • You can not touch the red blocked barrier until after collecting a key. Touching the red barrier first will kill you, but you can run through the blue wall after you have a key.
  • Strategy
    • When you draw your line remember that your mouse is fatter than your line, so ensure you do not cut too close to any sharp objects.
    • As you advance through the game levels have increasingly complex designs with many moving objects. In generally it is best to pass by as few moving objects as possible.
    • Time pressing the go button so moving objects are not near your path while you are near their position.
    • The edges of the screen are not hard edges or dangerous, so you can have your mouse run partly off screen to minimize how many obstacles you must pass.
    • If your timing has you easily pass one obstacle while running into another consider changing your path direction or putting a delay in your route between the two obstacles.
