How to Play
Draw or paint. Or draw then paint. Save and share your work. Only YOU can help support the Mr. Bean movement today. 🙂
- Starting the Game
- Click or tap on the yellow button with a red arrow on the game’s welcome screen to bring up the mode select screen.
- The welcome screen also has a sound control button in the upper right corner.
- From the mode select screen you can choose “Colour it!” for coloring or “Draw it!” for drawing.
- Drawing
- There are 10 canvas choices to choose from, with each have a picture of Mr. Bean offset. You get to fill out the rest of the scene.
- After drawing a scene you could then paint it however you like.
- Coloring
- There are 10 canvas choices to choose from. Each is a fully drawn scene which you can color.
- Game Controls
- The general interface is the same for both game play modes. The only difference is one already has completed scenes which the player only needs to color, while the other has Mr. Bean shown on an otherwise blank canvas.
- The game controls are described below, from top to bottom.
- Left side controls
- Menu control – brings up a menu for printing, saving, or deleting your artwork. This menu also includes options to return to the game’s welcome screen and turn music on or off.
- If you click on the save folder button in the center it will open up your artwork in a new browser tab. You can then right click on the piece to save it.
- If you click on the delete folder or the home button either option will delete your current work.
- Paint bucket – fill area with a color
- Paint brush – somewhat clean tool for making paint strokes. Unfortunately there is only one width option.
- Pencil – similar to the paint brush though about 1/3 as wide.
- Pallet – select from 45 different colors. When you click on the pallet 15 colors are shown in an overlay in the center of the screen, but there are 3 screens one can scroll through. The pallet color is used for all coloring options: bucket, brush, pencil, spray paint, and ink bottle.
- If you have the paint bucket selected a fourth screen of 15 more options will appear for painting backgrounds and segments of the painting with wallpapers.
- Right side controls
- Arrow – undo most recent action. Be careful using this action as there is no redo button..
- Eraser – erase
- Spray paint can – paint using spray paint mode, which sprays like an aerosol with some dispersion
- Ink bottle – pour ink onto the screen (wider and sloppier than the paint brush option)
- Rubber stamp – include a stamp of a heart, star, happy emoji, hat, present, sleeping mask, party hat, crown, ice cream cone, sombrero, Scrapper, or popcorn in the image (the stamp selection uses the location where the color pallet was in the lower left corner of the game).
- Stamps on the canvas can not be resized, moved or turned.
- Stamps appear on top of all painting work even if you add more paint after applying the stamp.
