- The upper right corner of the game has a sound control button.
- The welcome screen shows your all-time high score in the lower left & how much you have upgraded each of your 4 upgrade options.
- Game Play
- Basics
- Neon enemies appear periodically on the screen.
- A black hole will open up where the enemies will enter. Shoot at that even before the enemies appear.
- Shoot your cannon upward at the bouncing neon enemies while avoiding getting hit by them.
- While they are high on the screen shoot & as they approach you near the bottom of the screen evade them.
- Each enemy has a number in the middle of it which indicates how many times you must hit it to destroy it.
- Early enemies tend to have a low count of around 1 to 3. As you advance through the game enemies can have counts going up into the twenties or thirties, making them much harder to destroy.
- The red and pink enemies break apart into 2 orange and green enemies when destroyed.
- When an enemy is destroyed it drops blue coins which you can pick up to purchase upgrades.
- When you perish you can use the collected coins to upgrade your cannon.
- Upgrades
- The blue pellets along the bottom you collect can be used to purchase upgrades.
- You can upgrade your fire rate, damage, health, and PET.
- Each upgrade adds 5% to the ugraded attribute.
- Upgrade costs increase by roughly 50% on each level for each attribute. The first upgrade costs 5, then the scale goes like this: 7, 10, 15, 23, 35, 54, 83, 128, 198, 306, 474, 734, 1,137, 1,762, 2,731 etc.
- PET is a side cannon which sits near your main cannon and fires along with it.
- The PET does not get hit & does not take damage, but it dramatically increases your shot output while giving you a wider cross-section to shoot enemies.
- At level 1 upgrade you get the right-side PET & at level 12 upgrade you get the left-side PET, which is effectively like shooting 3 cannons at once.
- Scoring
- While later enemies take more hits to destroy, each enemy you defeat is worth a fixed score amount based on the enemy type.
- Orange enemies are worth 2 points each.
- Green enemies are worth 4 points each.
- Yellow enemies are worth 10 points each.
- Pink enemies are worth 8 points each (plus the 4 points from the 2 orange enemies they spawn when defeated).
- Red enemies are worth 20 points each (plus the 8 points from the 2 green enemies they spawn when defeated).
- Tips
- Upgrade your PET and firing frequency first as this is a game where the best defense is a strong offense.
- You can hide near the left and right walls to minimize the odds of getting hit when the field is crowded.
- When you destroy the red and pink neon fighters they turn into 2 orange and green fighters each. Anticipate that when they are close to zero hits left.
- When you are fighting a crowded field try to shoot opportunistically at the enemies with lower numerical ratings to clear them before shooting the enemies which either have a high numerical rating or will split again when shot.
- If an enemy has a number in the teens or higher in its center expect it to take at least one of two evasions before you can shoot it enough times to defeat it.
- Target Audience
- The game is suited for players who like cannonball shooter games.
- The game has no adult themed content.
