How to Play
Find the image shown on the left edge of the screen elsewhere in the game. Repeat.
- Starting the Game
- Click on the square button with the white rounded triangle in the bottom center of the welcome screen to start the game.
- The welcome screen also has a sound control button in the upper right corner.
- Game Controls
- Desktop
- Click on the sticker matching the character depicted on the left edge of the screen in the yellow box.
- Touchscreen
- Use your finger like a mouse.
- Scoring
- Each match is worth some multiple of 10 points.
- Strategy
- The game starts off with 30 seconds on the clock.
- Each match you make adds 3 seconds to the remaining time.
- Incorrect matches do not cost you points, but cost you precious time – up to 6 seconds each.
- This is a game of balancing speed (to lose little time per round) with precision (to not have big losses from incorrect answers).
- The game starts off easy to the point of being boring, but the difficulty level ramps significantly.
- Similar images can be shown multiple times near each other. Some games might have 5 different Bugs Bunny images in them, where all but one of them are incorrect.
- Images can be rotated, moving at various speeds, small, changing sizes, and overlap one another.
- As you advance the left rail can show multiple images and only one of them are in the game. The game starts with one image option, then two, and later three.
- In some cases the images on the right are large and moving quickly while the image you want to click on can be inverted, small, and not moving, so it is harder to notice.
- This game is best played on larger devices so you do not hit the wrong tap target & can better differentiate small differences between matches and near matches.
- If you are playing on a smaller device it makes sense to play the game as a stand alone web app rather than playing the version embedded in this page. Click the link under the game to play the embedded version as a stand alone web application.
- Attention to detail is critical.
- When looking for an image, think about what makes it distinctive. Relative dimensions, colors, and any accessories or pose the image have can all come into play.
- When there are 2 or 3 images showing on the left side and only one of them is in the right it can be hard to know what to focus on.
- The game has a menu button in the upper left corner which pauses the game and has the two functions of letting you resume play or end the game. The playing field is cleared while the game is paused.
- The upper right corner has a sound control button.
- Target Audience
- Initially on the first level or two it could seem this game is only for preschoolers, however after a few levels the difficulty increases significantly to where the game is fun for all ages.
- Children (and even adults!) can improve their attention to detail, hand and eye coordination, and pattern recognition skills by playing this game.
- The short round time and level variability with increasing difficulty adds to the replayability.
- There are no adult themes in this game.
