- Game Controls
- Desktop
- Use the arrow keys to control the motion of your player.
- When your special power is full use the Z key to build a protective wall in front of your goal. This wall absorbs a single hit from the puck before disappearing.
- Touchscreen
- Use your finger like a mouse.
- The game has a pause button in the upper right corner.
- Game Play
- Game mode
- Select to play a one-off quick match or a 6-level tournament.
- If you play a 6-level tournament using a player you have not yet won with you need to unlock each level sequentially.
- After you beat the 6-level tournament with a particular player you can select replaying any level of the tournament for that player.
- If you lose on level 1 of the tournament you will still advance to level 2. If you then beat level 2 but have not yet beat level 1 you will see level 1 and level 3 are unlocked for replay while level 2 is locked until you beat all other levels.
- As you advance through higher levels of the tournament the sides of the ice rink have points extending near the middle of the rink.
- Games last until a single 3-minute period has ended or a team scores 3 goals.
- At the end of rounds new gear is unlocked and you are invited to play the subsequent round.
- Strategy
- If possible try to keep the puck in front of you and keep yourself between your goal and the puck.
- You sort of nudge the puck in the direction you are moving until you shoot it instead of really controlling the puck.
- If the puck bounces off the goalie and is still near the goal try to run into the puck again for a quick goal.
- As you advance through higher levels of the tournament the sides of the ice rink have points extending near the middle of the rink. Try not to skate with the puck too close to the edge & if you hit the puck and are near an edge try to shift the puck to the opposite side (e.g. if you are at the top shoot right and downward & if you are at the bottom shoot right and upward).
- Later levels in the tournament have a hydraulic ice lift obstacles in the middle of the playing field.
- If you are serious these can be super annoying, but they add to the whimsical charm in the game.
- Avoid running into them or pushing the puck near them when they are about to lift.
- This game is a bit of a button masher as the same key (the spacebar) is used to stun opponents and shoot the puck.
- It is ridiculously easy to do an own goal in this game as the goalie moves back and forth automatically in cycles and does not coordinate with your other players.
- If you are trying to bash an enemy from behind while chasing them down be sure you are moving up or down as well when you hit so that if you hit the puck it won’t go straight in your own goal.
- If the puck is deep in your defense area and you are near the top or bottom of the screen you can bash the puck off the wall to have it fly back toward the other direction.
- You can run over items in the playing field which make you skate faster, skate slower, or make you invincible.
- The colors green and yellow are good & the skate flashing blue and red is bad.
- If you lose sight of the puck or the puck is way past you be sure to press the button Z to build a defense wall in front of the goal.
- When the puck is out of screen there is an orange highlighted arrow around a picture of a puck pointing at the puck’s location.
- On the player select screen there is a “Cool Stuff” button for equipping your players.
- Audience
- The game is suitable for kids of all ages.
- There are no adult themes.
