Ninja Frog Adventure Platformer Game for Kids Video Game Play Instructions

• Starting the Game
  • Select the red and gray START button in the center of the game’s welcome screen.
    • This will bring up the level select screen.
    • Initially only the first level is unlocked.
    • Each time you beat a level the following level is unlocked.
    • Your web browser automatically saves your game progress.
  • The welcome screen has 3 additional buttons on it: a full screen mode button in the upper left corner, a settings button in the upper right corner (to control game sounds & music), and a more games button on the center left edge.
• Game Controls
  • Desktop
    • Use the left and right arrow keys to move left or right.
    • Press the up arrow key once to jump.
    • Press the up arrow key twice to double jump. You can double jump immediately or jump once & then jump a second time further along into your jump.
  • Touchscreen devices
    • Use the on screen controls.
    • The left and right move buttons are in the lower left corner of the game.
    • The jump button is in the lower right corner of the game.
  • Controls & indicators
    • Across the top of the game it shows your health, remaining times, apples you collected and a pause button.
    • The pause button allows you to return to the game’s welcome screen, resume play, or restart the current level.
• Game Play
  • Health
    • You start the game with 3 units of health. Each time an enemy hits you a unit of health is lost.
      • If you lose partial health in a level you beat then when you start the next level you will have reduced health.
      • If you lose all of your health it is game over.
    • Hitting a sharp object, running out of time, or falling off platform means it is game over.
      • Some of the flying platforms quickly fall after you jump on them.
  • Enemies
    • Most enemies can be beat in a single hit by jumping on them. This includes mushrooms, wood shooting trees, rabbits and birds.
    • The gray rhinoceros takes 3 hits to kill.
    • You can not destroy the plants which try to eat you that come out of pipes, the concrete blocks which try to smash you, the blue fireballs, nor the spinning meta blades.
  • Dying & continues
    • Any time you die you restart the current level at the beginning of it & have full health.
    • You get unlimited continues in this game.
  • Points / collecting / time
    • Each level gives you 5 minutes to reach the ruby above the spring at the end of the level.
    • Levels have many apples scattered across them which you can collect.
      • Some apples are sitting out in the open & others are hidden inside crates.
      • You can break the wooden crates that do not have a metal border, while the crates with a metal border can not be broken.
    • Some enemies make sense to beat to isolate other parts of the level & make them easier, however you do not score points for defeating enemies and you do not have to defeat most enemies.
      • The exception to the rule on the above is the rhinoceros, which you may need to kill in order to activate a switch that drops a drawbridge.
• Target Audience
  • The game is suited for people of all ages who like retro platformer games.
  • The game has no adult themed content.
