- Starting the Game
- Click on the blue and white hexagon play button at the bottom of the game’s welcome screen.
- Your web browser automatically stores your game progress. If you refresh the page or revisit it again later in the same web browser the “Start” button is instead a “Continue” button and there is a smaller “New Game” button below it.
- Game Controls
- Desktop
- Use your mouse left click button to select agents, drag them to the corresponding rooms, and select their jobs.
- The mouse left click button is also used to harvest energy and drag the agents with the correct answer into position to solve math problems.
- Touchscreen devices

- Game Play
- Building Out HQ
- Drag up to 3 agents from the tube at the top into each room.
- You must have enough energy to afford adding the new agents.
- Use energy earnings to buy more agents and unlock additional rooms.
- You start off with the Bullpen which costs 1 unit of energy. The following are other rooms you unlock and how much energy each costs.
- Cafeteria = 2
- Gadget Test Lab = 3
- Jackalope Room = 5
- Arts & Crafts Room = 11
- Pancake Room = 17
- Beaker Storage = 23
- Hop’n’Bop Room = 32
- Video Game Room = 39
- Donut Armory = 49
- Time Travel Lounge = 64
- Puppy Room = 76
- Trophy Room = 93
- The first agent in each room you set for free, but other agents cost energy to add to the rooms with the amount increasing as you head further down the list into more expensive rooms.
- You can click into any room to zoom into it & click again to zoom out of it.
- After you unlock more than 9 rooms some of them will be out of view as the game can only show a 3×3 grid of rooms at any time.
- Click on the area between the rooms and drag up or down to scroll the view so you can collect energy from the rooms which were out of view.
- Odd Alerts
- Periodically villains cause a ruckus.
- The meter at the top center of the screen slowly fills & when it is full you get another Odd Alerts message.
- Some of the Odd Alerts are associated with cases you solve, while others are repeats or lower level issues. Either way the play is the exact same.
- Solve a math equation to beat the villains and restore order.
- Drag the agents from the bottom of the screen into the equation, then when it is solved click the blue hexagon with a checkmark in the lower right corner of the screen.
- In some cases you will need to add in one of three variables, while in others a number will be shown in the upper right corner and you need to figure out which other two numbers are added together to make that number.
- There are 6 core cases and a variety of other mini cases.
- The game play is roughly the same on each even if the narrative is different.
- The 6 cases are Lobster Hands, Funder Clouds, Evil Vegetables, Shadow Play, Bloomin’ Oddness, and Infinite Energy Room.
- When you solve all 6 core cases you get an infinite store of energy when you collect the next one, allowing you to finish building out your headquarters by completing any rooms you have yet to unlock.
- Target Audience
- The game is suited for children of all ages and for fans of the PBS series Odd Squad.
- The graphics are beautiful and entertaining for younger kids.
- The gameplay may get to be somewhat boring and repetitive for older kids and adults.
- The game has no adult content.
