How to Play
Make your way through the logic puzzle by stepping on cells that match the numbers in the sequence shown at the top of the screen. Collect all 3 juice boxes and exit to the next level at the top.
- Starting the Game
- Click the blue and white start button in the lower right corner of the game’s welcome screen.
- Your web browser automatically stores your level progress and juice box rating for each level.
- Each of the 45 levels is only unlocked and playable if you beat all prior levels.
- You can go back to previously beat levels and replay them to try to get a higher juice box score.
- Game Controls
- Desktop
- Use your mouse left click button to select each tile you wish to step on.
- Touchscreen devices
- Use your finger and tap on the tile you want to move to.
- In the upper left corner of the levels there is a gear button you can click to open up the ability to restart the level or go to the level select screen.
- When you are on the level select screen the lock in the lower right corner erases your juice box collection.
- Game Play
- The pattern you must match is shown at the top of the screen.
- The existing pattern which has already happened is shown in pink.
- Your next step is shown in green.
- If you do not know the forward pattern and make a mistake then the top of screen code will show the pattern you had done correctly up until the point you made a mistake.
- The pattern is typically counting up or down by 1 or 2, though sometimes it is an A B A B A B repetition. The logic is quite straightforward.
- Once you get to around level 37 or 38 the patterns require a bit more logic than counting up or down, with patterns repeating and changing slightly in subsequent repetitions by incrementing.
- The final level uses the Fibonacci Sequence, which is perhaps the perfect way to end this game. <3
- Make your moves
- When you first begin a level only the first few tiles show their numbers on them while other tiles remain blank.
- Tiles reveal their number when you stand near them.
- Tap on adjacent cells to follow the pattern shown above the playing field.
- You can only move to cells which are green. The cells can be up, down, left, right, or diagonal.
- The cells you step onto must match the next number in the code pattern.
- Each cell you step on can only be stepped on once.
- If you make a mistake you start the level over again.
- All juice boxes collected before stepping on the wrong tile or getting hit by a laser must be collected again.
- Level design
- Fans of simple logic puzzles and math will love this game. If you hate math and logic problems this game might be more than a bit frustrating.
- As you advance through levels additional features are added to the game like laser beams you must time your passage through.
- All such puzzles can be solved by breaking them down into smaller & simpler discrete puzzles.
- Consider where you can stop on the puzzle where such dangers do not exist.
- Ending the level
- Ensure you are at a cell at the top of the playing field when you are at the end of the pattern.
- You can only proceed to the level exit from a cell in the top row.
- Click or tap on the blue arrow to exit the level.
- Collecting juice boxes
- You do not need to collect all 3 juice boxes to beat a level, but you should collect all 3 if you want to beat the game 100% complete.
- If you miss a juice box but get the other 2 then if you move on to the next level and later come back and replay the prior level from the level select screen you only have to collect that one remaining juice box to beat the level with a 3 juice box rating.
- If you click the replay button without exiting to the subsequent level first you will need to collect all 3 juice boxes.
- When you replay a level the numerical values under any exposed tiles from a prior play remain shown on subsequent playthroughs.
- Target Audience
- The game is suited for children of all ages and for fans of the PBS series Odd Squad.
- Younger children may find the higher levels difficult due to the patience required when timing lasers and the math patterns growing more complex, though this game is a great way to make learning math basics fun for everyone.
- The game has no adult content.
