Pick and Match Game for Kids Video Game Play Instructions

• Starting the Game
  • On the welcome screen:
    • Select Start on the bottom center to begin.
    • Select the speaker button on the bottom right corner to turn the game’s sound on or off.
  • Your web browser automatically saves your game progress.
• Game Controls
  • Desktop
    • With your mouse, left click to select.
  • Touchscreen devices
    • Tap on the screen with your fingers to select.
  • Controls and indicators (left to right):
    • Topmost row
      • Coins collected
      • Level number
      • Hamburger button: Opens the pause menu
        • Speaker button
        • Back button: Quits the level and returns you to the welcome screen
        • Continue button: Resumes the game
    • Top row
      • Timer bar
    • Bottom row
      • Hint power up
      • Mallet power up
      • Timer power up
• Game Play
  • Levels
    • Levels are unlocked in sequence.
      • You start with only the first level unlocked.
      • Finish one level to unlock the next.
    • You can replay any of the levels you’ve already unlocked.
    • There are 35 levels in this game.
  • Basic rules
    • You start with an even set of cards face down on the screen.
    • Match each card with an identical one to remove them from the screen.
      • Select one card to reveal it.
      • Select another to repeat the process. Remember their locations.
      • If your cards match, they will be removed.
      • If they don’t they return to a face down position.
    • Match all the card pairs onscreen before the timer runs out to clear the level.
  • Coins and power ups
    • Coins
      • You earn a coin for every card pair you make.
      • You also earn a coin bonus at the end of the level.
      • Earn enough coins and you can buy power ups to help you in the later levels
    • Power ups
      • Each power up costs coins. Don’t use them unless you have to.
      • The power ups have the following prices and benefits:
        • Hint (50 cons) Shows you a random pair. You receive points form this
        • Mallet (100 coins): Removes a random pair without revealing their location. You receive no coins from this.
        • Timer (150): Extends your timer by 10 seconds.
