• Starting the Game
  • Select the gray and black PLAY button on the game loading screen to visit the game’s welcome screen.
  • The welcome screen serves as a level select screen.
    • Initially only the first level is available.
    • Each time you complete a level it unlocks the subsequent level. You can replay previously beat levels at any time.
    • Your web browser automatically saves your game progress.
    • The welcome screen contains a sound control button in the upper left corner and a reset game button in the upper right corner.

    • Tap any key to start a level or complete a level.
    • Move around the playing field using the arrow keys on your keyboard.
    • You can also use the WASD keys to move if you prefer.
  • Touchscreen devices
    • This game was designed primarily for desktop devices.
  • Controls & indicators
    • The upper right corner of the game shows how many police officers there are on the current level & how many you have hit while you had “ON FIRE!” status.
    • When you are “ON FIRE!” it shows at the top center of the screen.
    • The lower left corner of the game has a level select button.
    • The lower right corner of the game has a restart level button.
• Game Play
  • Movement
    • General
      • You move to the rhythm of the music in whichever direction you press.
      • You move until you run into something or manually choose to change directions. In this regard the game is similar to snake, however you can do a 180 degree movement in this game & are not penalized for running into yourself.
    • Bandmates
      • If you have other bandmates behind you they will act like a tail like in the classic game Snake, so when you run into an obstacle you may need to keep moving to not have them stick out.
    • Speed
      • Early in the game you move a square at a time.
      • The game picks up the pace a bit as you get around level 9 & it seems you can move 2 squares at a time unless you are rather fast with changing directions.
  • Obstacles
    • Police officers want no part of you putting the band back together.
      • Until you have assembled your quartet if the police run into you or any band member connected to you then you lose.
      • When you get the band fully formed you achieve “ON FIRE!” state, which enables you to bump into the police members to stun them.
      • When all cops are stunned you can go onto the stage and play for your fans.
      • While you are “ON FIRE!” cops can not hurt you, but other obstacles can.
    • This game has sharp spikes and some fireball shooting cannons.
      • Avoid stepping on the spikes. Sometimes this requires taking a circuitous path.
      • Avoid running into the fireballs. Sometimes this requires either waiting to assemble the band until you open up a parallel path through the level, or pushing a cone in front of the cannon.
  • Dying
    • You get an unlimited number of continues in this game, though you lose the progress on the current level when you die.
    • You die if you (or any of your bandmates which are part of your snake tail) run into spikes, get hit by a fireball, or hit a cop while not “ON FIRE!”
  • Strategy
    • Timing is crucially important in this game.
      • When timing tight fits try to start from a cell which is close to the path you need to go down.
      • If timing is too hard it may make sense to avoid collecting members of the band until you have completed the hardest part of the level.
      • Police walk on a regular path pattern & the fireballs shoot from cannons at a regular cadence, so it should be easy to know which squares are safe & then to time your movements to spend the smallest amount of time necessary on potentially unsafe squares.
    • Activating switches
      • Switches are activated when stepped on once. You do not need to place something atop them to activate them.
      • If a switch is in a tight area consider activating it solo before adding other band members.
      • If a switch opens up a safer path through the level then minimize how many times you cross through fireball areas.
    • Your tail
      • After you collect band members those band members become part of your tail and their safety is your responsibility.
      • If you pass through an area with fireballs then stop, make sure you move far enough parallel to the fireballs that all of your band members have made it through.

  • The game is suited for players of all ages who like simple puzzle games & level escape games.
  • The game has no adult themed content.
